HMC
Sensational spots! Uplifting to see the variety of stuff street parked and apparently in use as transport. Love it. Incidentally there’s a Merc there H881YGC - I had one registered H880VGC. Also an estate. RobT
Angrydicky
Wow! Some absolutely incredible spots there. That Avenger/Oxford combo has to be my favourite. It warms the old cockles that such scenes still exist in 2020. That Saab estate hasn't been parked there that long, less than three years but I suppose being parked under trees won't help how it looks! Skizzer
Outstanding spots! The Avenger is amazing. Want. The R4 F4 van looks like an original UK RHD one as well — another great survivor. I used to live about 200 yards from Grove Park: other side of the railway line though. RobT and egg

Plus an FU to the upcoming ULEZ extension. For the ones old enough and running that is. Saab is weird. Looks like it's been parked there for donkeys. It's on a fairly busy road, so I'm surprised no one has trashed it/reported as an eyesore (they'd be RONG obvs). Angrydicky and paulplom

barrett
Another great update. The tatty street-parked Avenger is definitely 'what this place is all about' and the sort of thing that's increasingly difficult to find anywhere. What is going on with the builder's dust sheets over the interiors, though? The R11 and Carlton are also astonishing sights, really. If I saw one of those I'd be happy for the rest of the day. Some familiar cars there, too - well done for getting the CV8, it always has a cover on when I pass there. Weirdly I found that peppermint Transit on street view recently. I think there's a footpath running right next to the car park its in, but I'm glad somebody else has spotted it so I don't have to. About 1998, usually with the bumpers semi colour coded but with the paint flaking off. Im almost getting nostalgic for stick on chrome arches ? wuvvum
Great to see a Savanna still working for a living too. There's a window cleaner in Norwich who uses a Toyota Carina II (saloon) as his work vehicle - not been able to get a photo yet though. bramz7
Very reassuring to see all that bilge still going. I do like the 21. And everything else. Funnily enough I came across that Sierra estate when I dropped off the 19 with you all that time ago. Managed to find a photo of that 'peppermint' Transit from 2012. I've forgotten, have you come across that other Transit not so far away? X reg in some sort of dirty grey.... EssDeeWon
Goodness me. There are no words for some of those spots. That Avenger has time travelled from 1990. There is/was an old Saab like that parked on a side street just off the cally rd near kings cross. RobT

danthecapriman
Great spots Rob. The Avenger/Oxford combo and that rough old Pontiac are the pic of the bunch imo! The Pontiac is actually MOT’d and taxed believe it or not. It looks like it’s been left sat for ages. RobT

RobT
In no particular order or location, stuff wot I've seen over the summer. The Barons Court Cortina. Found this by sheer luck, with some spotters nose thrown in I like to think. Shit rimz, nice car. How to beat ULEZ. Owner probably has a hair bun unfortunately. The Forest Hill Rapier. Shame about the webasto. New local spot that got me excited. Lazy spot, Xantia wiper blade. Neither of those will see the road again eh. Not sure what's under the other cover. Rekord is very local. Been meaning to pap it for ages. Stalled lockdown project. This was August! Angrydicky, Spottedlaurel, Vantman and 11 others

RobT
October to March. Not a huge update, and most are local obviously. CX and Jag are in Ham SW London, on a rare trip 'somewhere else'. Two '68s together, as I papped the Imp whilst test driving the Morris after another bout of fixing something. Espace looks like a driveway ornament but has MoT. Whereas the Astra is. Lasted tested in 2011. Been like that for years. Seems a shame. Mildly twatted 340. Knackered but still in service. Excellent. A vision of despair if ever there was. Red one is getting gradually worse too. Slightly spud cam as zoomed to the max. LightBulbFun, angle, phil_lihp and 8 others
RobT
A couple of decent spots from today. I've seen this before, but not with the roof box AND bike rack fitted. What a winner. I'm clearing doing it wrong. Peugeot 203 just nonchalantly parked on street. phil_lihp
Top spots Rob, always a treat. I'd love to know what the stories behind the abandoned Jag and laid up Astra are - not many cars like that round here but a lot of similarly abandoned boats dotted around my local river and I often wonder what the history is there for something like that to be left and forgotten about. Probably giffer given up driving with the Astra, and the house was a lovely Arts and Crafts one with a faded elderly owner look about it. As to the Jag, who knows. Abandonment of hope? It's in an area not far from where this Saab used to be (sadly now gone). I only spotted it last March pre-Covid. danthecapriman
AnthonyG
It’s funny how if you watch some old 70’s cop show with actual London street footage, lots of parked cars seem to be more or less abandoned - these are usually Bedford CAs/Ford 100Es/50’s Austins. Looks like lockdown is doing it’s best to take London back to 1973! RobT
RobT
Well overdue an update here I think. I'll start from April 2021. Local AX. Was a new spot 18 months ago, and it's still there parked on street. Putney. Could be 1998 again. Another Beckenham local. Didn't stay long though. Greenwich. Faversham Mini 850 deserves two pics. Probably a gifferette owner. South Norwood bilge, not far from BL Les. West Norwood. Sums the place up really... This was fabulous. Helpful plate to aid identification. Near Whitstable IIRC. South London Roller. More locals, above and below. Glad it's not just me driving old shit around here.
