RobT
Very impressed with the variety you are seeing Rob. You're very persistent or in a very good area. It's a bit of both. Inner London boroughs are the sweet spot due to concentration of housing. There's always something to see. Where I live there's plenty of flats with garage blocks, so I'm sure I'm missing out on loads of giffer owned gems that are tucked away! bramz7
Wow I am glad that Sierra is still going. The Amazon was covered with a tarp when I saw it a few years back. There was another MK1 quite close to that Sierra but it got written off a year or so back. Managed to work out that Fiesta van numberplate back then too, its A547DMX and has been sat there since 1997. RobT
RobT
MOAR BILGE. In random order of spottage. xtriple's south London brethren. This W123 is owned by a local Lovejoy, it's often loaded up with 'antique' tat. Cav with NI plates. Gopping transit. The Supercinq in the background is currently on eBay. It's one of my regulars so I hope it goes to a good home. Despite the wobbed arch this was smart. If I ever have a Fiat 127 it'd be this colour with those wheels. Lovely. Noctural spot in Streatham. One of those mouth agape moments as I wasn't in spotting mode. ProgRocker, davocano, Angrydicky and 16 others
RobT
This was interesting. A quick google showed it to be a Coleman-Milne Granada Minster with a 10" stretch. Must have been a ministerial car or something back in the day. There was no security on it, so good luck. Princess of Orange. This pictorial delight is opposite Camberwell Old Cemetary. It's slightly off my patch so I've never seen them before, but there's photos on Flickr. It's still a butchers shop and the owner is a right character as you'd expect really! Parky
That Supercinq is here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-RENAULT-5-CAMPUS-1-4-Manual-76k-miles/183093097590?hash=item2aa132f476:g:bLsAAOSwr1NakVK9 Actually looks quite decent, and wears a nice set of GTX model alloys. Skizzer
Ooooohh, a Fiat 127 Palio. Very yes. These were sort of Sloane Ranger cars before Sloane Rangers were a thing, along with black and gold Suzuki Whizzkids and maybe Mini 1100 Specials with those optional bull bars. vulgalour
The roof boxes on that Lovejoy Merc a few posts back. Weren't they quite a rare option for the W123 and quite sought after by Merc lickers? I have a memory that you could get a matching fitted luggage set for the boot too, like you could for a Granada.
RobT
Another small haul, this time Brixton/Stockwell area a few weeks back. One for bramz. And another. 16 valver. Bloated modz etc. Crap looking Capri (IMO) With Clio Cavcraft emergency services This is a TR8 Grinnall conversion apparently, and belongs to Joanna Lumley's husband. The location is also notable for being Albert Square, SW8. Number 14 is at the end of this photo on the right. Well it's notable for me anyway as that's where Roger Moore lived until he was 18. Gawd bless him. W123s are still fairly commonplace in London, but here's a couple anyway. Most I see are pez (no doubt because export m8), but the beige one is diz. Cavcraft
Genuine admiration for Londoners who don't seem even remotely arsed about having class/expensive/rare/rubbish cars outside and just leaving them there or driving them about. michael t
Absolutely wonderful spottage, most of those pictures could have been taken 15-20 years ago minus the obvious modern stuff. Great to see such a multitude of 80s and early 90s chod still knocking about RobT
Rave
Sorry to be a month or so late, but the Rivoli Rover has been there for yonks. The tarp is a fairly recent addition. Prior to that it had a for sale sticker in the window asking an improbable amount, like 600 quid or something. I saw (and photographed) the beige Sierra in Downham before Christmas last year. RobT
The Rivola Rover looked reasonably OK close up and has MoT until May. Just wondering if the rag top has been vandalised which is a shame, hence the tarp.
Rave
I think the rear window was split, or the whole roof was just in poor condition. There was a reason I thought that the asking price was hopelessly optimistic, and I'm pretty sure it was that!
RobT
Some cold weather spots, mostly in the Nunhead/Peckham Rye area. Early FX4. There were four other black cabs parked nearby, this one being the oldest and most interesting. Another DS. That's three I know of within a 4 mile radius. XJ40 10 yards away too, probably the same chod botherer. My favourite of the day. Hart to Hart spec SL. Mintola W114 with superb, probably original raised letter plates. I only papped this Civic because Jesus Woz Ere. Lazy spots. This Capri has grim placca trimz, but is tidy otherwise. Used daily as I often see it on the commuter run. Ghosty
3 door 323 is an uncommon spot. That TR8 is class - the front lights are from a Volvo 480, and the rears are Mk2 Orion! RobT
Spottedlaurel
Sunny van certainly a rare thing to see out in the wild nowadays. Edit: Also impressed by the R20, especially it being so far north. I've seen very few on my French trips, think most (if not all) I've photographed have been R30. RobT
bramz7
Great spots Rob. I did see that Tipo myself but way way back in 2012 I think, so I am very impressed it's still around. It's low miles too. RobT
RobT
More vehicular delights. I've moved offices (still in the same general area) but it means I've got a whole new area to explore at lunchtime. Integrale next to Lambeth Town Hall. For his sake I hope it wasn't left there long. Giffer R8 with privacy glass. LoLZ. Seeing an A-series Metro is a very rare thing nowadays, and this lifted my spirits. It's a 1.3 L. Spare panels stored in the car, as one does. Yuppy parked like a dick. Mind you she was only waiting a short while and it did sound nice. V6 Camry for spottedlaurel. Oh you little tease... Behind these Golfs was a PCP Mustang. I'm always glad to see a Mk3 Cav, and this one in particular as I was seeing sod all else that day. His name is Les and he owns a Magentis. What are these things like then? I'm sure Wuvvum has owned one at some point, so opinions please Wuv if you're reading this. The one above isn't a 6 cyl. These povvo Mk3 Astra estates look great without the higher spec roof bars. Faded Starlet A yank thing on a housing estate in Deptford. This was parked opposite.
