phil_lihp
Nicely bought, and a proper result on the clutch! That scratchy cloth interior takes me back - Enjoy spec only, that, I reckon most ended up with fleet buyers back when new. The company my father worked for at the time bought a lorry load of them, 2 each in red, white and burgundy and he got to choose which one to go for. First new car we'd ever had, however ours was a decadent 1.7TD. We went all over the place in that car, remarkably L752 CFX survived until quite recently too, with 220k+ miles on it. This is in a Eurocamp holiday park in Brittany, I think, back when it was brand new. I don't recall it ever going wrong, it's still probably one of the better cars he ended up with over the years. egg and sutty2006
sutty2006
So. Fuel gauge packed up today. Now reads completely full all the time. (was 3/4 full) until I made a U turn in a junction and it shot up to full. Anyone know if this happens if the earth wire comes off the sender? Rusty_Rocket
I think it would happen if the wire got snagged on something metal and earthed out, rather than coming off.
Jim Bergerac
Was it only the higher spec ones which got the additional lights on the boot panel? GLS and above had the different trim panel. Hendry

sutty2006
Fixed the tank sender with a good thump to the fuel tank. Result. Then found the brake master cylinder resevoir leaking. Oh the joys
New POD
Manta Wheels being designed for RWD and not FWD have completely the wrong offset and will FUCK up the handling.
Split_Pin
That clutch inspection aperture is a joy to look at. It must make a £600 garage job into a half day homer. sutty2006
sutty2006
Never thought it was ever possible to do a clutch without removing the box until I saw this...... EPIC.
