Split_Pin
Whenever the road gets dug up around here it's solely to lay facilities for a new development I.e. there's money in it. All the while potholes remain and increase in size. AnnoyingPentium

Speaking of the above, Scottish Water's road folk (I presume this is hired out carry on) dug a massive hole outside my Granda's driveway and then surfaced it back again, it's now breaking up at the edges a month or two later. artdjones
The 205 seems ok mechanically except for needing a new accelerator pump diaphragm. (€20 posted from France) It fluffs on acceleration and petrol is weeping out past the lever.

Similar affair down here except it's a couple of startup internet companies who do not seem to actually want your custom upon enquiry 🤔 Their name is well known enough because nearly everyone's house has had the road/path outside dug up over the course of the last couple of years! brownnova
I bought a house on a new build estate, and the road was brick paved on the ends (some kind of stylistic device. When they needed to dig that up, they took up a certain amount of bricks, did the work, and then replaced the bricks with a patch of black tarmac in between the bricks. eddyramrod

fatharris
Ugly as sin, but I bet it shifts!!I've just finished a 230 mile journey in it. Not eco driving or owt, but also not ragging it because the roads were horribly waterlogged.A 370bhp powerhouse has no right to average 38mpg on the way up.It's witchcraft.Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk bigfella2 and brownnova
GagaStan
The Fleet this morning. Golf is sold awaiting pickup this weekend, Rio is misfiring and needs a coil, BX is leaking less LHM out but more rainwater in (must finish garage shelves so it can go back under cover) and the Jazz just soldiers on giving 47mpg and being 99% the amount of car we actually need! There used to be a guy who lived near Slough who imported them and sold them on eBay. Usually for around £1500 sort of figure. Never did pluck up the courage to buy one off him. Would probably be different now. They look great fun and quirky to drive. LightBulbFun, Lankytim and calebaaront

I bought mine back in March for £1400, it had been sat for ten years but ran and drove. Booked it in for an MOT to see what it would fail on so I knew what to fix and it passed with only 2 advisories. I just got lucky but you can pick up a project for relatively cheap still SiC, Lankytim and LightBulbFun
