Which car check site is this and where it states registered near is that where it was originally registered or where it is currently registered on the v5 ???. Also which level of check does it need to be to get that part to show up?. I am trying to find where another Sigma might be in the UK and hope that this narrows it down

Crispian_J_Hotson
Allowed light to wash over the 635 today for the first time in err...? Quite surprised as I went armed like a knight to battle my way into the cave through walls of spider monster nests. Hardly anything really. A few leaves, a poo from a small creature on the boot lid and some cellar spiders, not many though. Reading the thread where someone's leather had gone mouldy had me concerned so I paid a visit plus it needs preparing for MOT sometime so needs to move. No mould though. I can only think there isn't any because I cleaned and fed the interior not long before it went into storage. That smell tho... I opened the door and that smell that only an aged vehicle can have. I had to open it up again just to get another whiff... Awesome. Apart from the expected flat battery which I went to retrieve, I noticed that this car still lives up to its name of 'breaks when you do use it, breaks if you don't use it' as I discovered an unidentified fluid spread across the floor which had dropped from somewhere under the bonnet. What a car! Turns out that the brake reservoir has shit out all the fluid from what looks like the master cylinder seals. It's an odd one but so are most of the problems that this car manages to produce. Battery on charge now, it was new about 6 months ago and I should have took it off but forgot. Taking a charge like a pro now so I'll be firing the BM up next week at some point. Air still in all the tyres too! Zelandeth
Street round the corner from us doesn't look that different. Thankfully we are on a hill so *relatively* safe from flooding. Was definitely in our minds when we brought the place. This leak is in the ceiling - of course not in the nice easy to get at single story section, no this is on the first floor set back sufficiently to make access more awkward. The Jag also just decanted about a pint of water into the driver's footwell when I turned the heater on...the intake drains in the scuttle will want cleaning then. Split_Pin
Just completed a 400 mile tour of the Highlands in the Mini which performed admirably. Only used a cupful of oil too. Needs a bath now though! This old C Class was outside the front door of our accommodation. Doesn't appear to be in use but it is MOTd so might be in reserve for the owner who works in London. This worked as an onsite snowplough at the Tomatin Distillery. Surprisingly still MOTd despite the rough appearance (and holes in the floor) Burnside, Springer, RobT and 4 others

PhilA
With a few things on the horizon, I finally have been able to clear my bench and stick my old boss's 1932 Zenith radio back on it. First up, the sheet metal for the lid. Rubbed back to bare and wiped down. And painted matte black. I'm thinking that I should maybe have another run at craquelure paint. Experiments will follow on an old piece of steel. The old volume dial was no longer the resistance it should have been, so the only options you had were LOUD and STUPIDLY LOUD. It now dials down to correctly quiet. However, the retaining bush and neck didn't fit the new volume control (metric) so a little imaginative work had to occur. Tapped a thread down the middle of the old control's mounting lug That screwed on as a sleeve, was then shortened and a slot cut in to the shaft for the extension that sticks out the front of the radio. It all fits and works properly. Next up I want to get a solid state vibrator for it because the one it has is too bloody noisy- that and after a little work it still functions so it'll be nice to be able to save it because new ones aren't available. Then re-plate all the tube covers like the one in the last photo, finish up the last few bits of the circuit that need work, get some cotton covered cloth to replace the wire that goes to the tube top caps and get it all aligned. Lord Sterling
Because of rain and local flooding today, I decided not to be lazy and go and check on the car. No flooding thankfully near the car, but then in another rare fit of actual enthusiasm I decided to take up the back seat bench and under there I found: 2 x £10 notes ? Unfortunately, they are out of date. Surprise surprise. ? Also found a £50p piece and a stylus from something. Slightly better still I found another 50p in the petrol station hoover coin rejection slot. So the £1 hoover was free and enough to clean up the underside of the back seat. egg, brownnova, somewhatfoolish and 4 others
adw1977
I think you can still pay those old tenners into your bank account if you can still find a branch to visit. Failing that, the Bank of England will always change old notes. Ghosty, Lord Sterling, GrumpiusMaximus and 1 other 3
