I reckon it'll be coming to an auction soon- CoPart have taken it as a trade looking at the invoice. Be a good car if someone can get that damn light out and recondition the back axle. I'm sure someone with infinite patience will get to the bottom of it, trouble is with the likes of MG and Ssangyong the dealer's lose interest in stocking parts for them once they get to about 5+ years old so they arent going to be great parts availablity wise in the long term. Same happened with Proton, Perodua etc when they were relevant. Was that the one that had a bump, was it ever crash repaired? Wonder if that had anything to do with it or it had crash data stored etc In any case, the Ignis should hopefully be a bit better! LabRat
Yeah, the bump was a sub 3mph shunt. The odd thing is, the code is for a communication loss with the rear, but the damage was drivers side front. It was crash repaired by Gemini in Denton, they tried to get the light out and their gear wouldn't even talk to the bloody car! Its all witchcraft and magick to me at the best of times! I'm hopeful with the Ignis- it's only done 30k and full Suzuki service history, so that's a good start! RoverFolkUs

Still fits moderns on though: Thats a 4.45m car, ~1300kg, lifted it no sweat What height did you find it lifts to in reality? The specs reckon the 3500 doesn't rise as high by a few inches. The extra height is one of the reasons why I'd side towards the 5000. But then that's a few extra hundred quid on top again to buy it.

Maybe was just a coincidence, can't help but think it's a broken wire, dealers don't like finding and repairing broken wires, they'll opt for replacing the whole loom as you found out. High enough to re-hang the exhaust and change the manifold on my R53: You can double up the blocks for an extra couple of inches if required, you still have to crawl underneath but its a lot higher than I'd ever get it on axles stands. Its feels a lot safer under there as well compared to stands. In a garage the size of yours I think a 5000 would be better, just have a measure of the gap between jacking points on the sill of the smaller cars you have, as my friend bought one and it was too long for his Metro race car and MGF. With 42 minutes left it was on about £1800. I went away to do other things, when I came back... The world truly has gone mad. I think I've missed the boat on these now. I wonder if its a phoney bid. The car was originally red and the paint is totally fucked, its not actually orange. It had rust holes in it and has gone around the clock. I know it's a rare GL but surely it's not gone for 5k. if it did, I wish I'd bought that 14k 120L with the mint interior from manor park classics
Split_Pin
Another visitor to the driveway tonight for some scratch removal, polish and wax. Very nice car indeed this and rewarding to make shiny. I shall make do with my scale model E36 collection for now! BTW I make no apologies for tyre dressing. Ever. I'm off to my parents house tomorrow for the much bigger challenge of cleaning out my mums Corsa to make it saleable. It had been used as her allotment hack for several years. Things are growing in it. Wish me luck! chodweaver, GingerNuttz, RoverFolkUs and 12 others

Ouch...yeah, from the photo I just assumed it was Rowan Red (orange) and just flat as they always seem to be. Looks tidy enough from that solitary low resolution photo...and given their values these days I'd expect a *good* 130GL to make four grand or so, five seems a bit of a stretch but not impossible. If it's *not* a good one though as it sounds...yeah...wonder if someone is going to get a nasty surprise on the collection mission!

I spot a Trafic, Favorit, Sierra and possibly MR2. Any other suggestions? 2. What the hell is going on with the roof on the house on the left?! catsinthewelder
Looks like a T25 pickup in front of the Traffic. Blue Peugeot 406 and black Corsa C? out back. There was a law down London way that dividing walls between houses had to be higher than the roof which led to some interesting roof shapes. BorniteIdentity
Back in 2016 you may remember I found myself in the absurd position of owning two low spec Ford Sierras within the space of three weeks. Along with the infamous red bASe, I somehow won this for a bargain £550 on ebay. I sold it quite quickly for £1250 - and the armchair trader who bought it flipped it quite quickly for about £1800. Really, REALLY disappointed to see it in this absolute state. Obviously, when you sell a car, you forfeit any right to complain about what happens next - but it's just very sad really. That car was a solid 8/10 right up until the moment I sold it. @richardcarspottinguk on IG apparently tapped on the door and it's allegedly being sold back to the person who had it last, so maybe brighter days are coming. Let's leave on an upbeat note - here it is in 2016. Popsicle, Wibble, Quintus and 15 others
wuvvum
That Estelle looks very similar to the one I had a few years ago. I sold that for £350, chap came down from Scotland on the train to buy it. Despite being a 130 it was slower than the 120 I also had at the time. Yoss, MJK 24 and tooSavvy 1

Even the first owner had kept a diary of every time he fueled it up, noted the mileage and MPG etc etc. I sold it to another “enthusiast” who sold it to someone in the manga club. It then reappeared on eBay parked in a field with long grass growing round it. Such a shame indeed. this is what it looked like when I sold it. Unfortunately there’s no pictures of its demise. Dyslexic Viking
I helped my dad and washed his 2009 Toyota Hiace van today. And washing the underside of this is just as exciting every year on how much rust comes off and this was the result this year. And these were just the big pieces the little ones have fallen through. We do what we can to try to prevent this from rusting but it is not easy as the steel this is made of and the original paint is bad. Zelandeth
This still has to be one of the best tools I've ever bought. Not something I use every day, but it's a bloody life saver when it does come out. I'd just spent several minutes hanging off a breaker bar trying to get the steering wheel nut off in the Caddy. That just span it straight off as though it was finger tight. Ideal solution to wheel nuts done up by fast fit type tyre outfits too. Even though I understand the physics behind how it works it never ceases to be impressive to see the results. SiC
Car swaparoo time. MGB needs at least a oil change service and grease up. I'm getting quite desperate to start on the Midget too. Went for a peek earlier when picking the MGB up. I started poking more paint blisters and filler off. Also noticed a few things missing like the hard top rear brackets and passenger seat angle arm. Really wasn't the best value purchase I've made in a while.. While it fitted into the garage, I had to wind the window down to be able to slither out of it. Those rubber door guards come in handy for times like this! Uploading and looking at this picture does make me think I really do have too many vehicles. There are still three missing from this photo 😬 Split_Pin, GMcD, Back_For_More and 4 others
