Rust Collector
Seeing as I’m stuck in the house I decided to make a start on an idea I had recently. obviously PLA isn’t thermostable enough to be any use, but I’m going to get some ABS in and see how that holds up when heated. The tip of the design needs narrowing also, I cocked the dimensions. If ABS is durable enough I’m thinking to use copper tubing as a core, with a little extra length to slot it into the remains of the original tube. Than some two part epoxy to bond the two plastic sections. grogee, LabRat, GingerNuttz and 1 other

Took me ages to find one,but thankfully a mate turned one up on his travels. More battered that a fish in a chip shop but the glass was intact. A nice polish chap by the name of Eddie fitted it for me just a few mins ago, quite a battle to remove it from the old tailgate, but he had the tools and the talent. Ghosty
Update: E34 got back to Rhyl, apparently it's leaking oil from the dipstick (?) but no comeback. Chaps been back for his Disco and said nothing, I'm calling that caveat emptor. That's how we like it. loserone and Twiggy

I woke up in the middle of the night and a chap's messaged asking to view it. I thought sod it, reply in the morning. Messaged him around 9am, asking when he wants to view, he says today, can be there in a couple of hours - turns out he's in Rhyl. Shows up at midday and looks over the car, says he's got £1,180 in cash and £30 in the bank, is that okay? Damn right it is, £40 off asking price. He sees the car starts, doesn't even look under the bonnet, hands over cash, V5 done, gone. Turns out he needed a car by Monday as he was getting fucked to the high heavens by a finance company on a Disco 3. He's left in the E34 to get a mate and he's coming back later to pick up the Disco. fucking WINNER. Oh it’s coming to North Wales? I’ll keep an eye out! I made the mammoth collection of around 3 miles from my house and it had sat on the drive for a week as I was busy at work. Finally took it out for a wash & a little get to know you drive & a short time later a brake hose decided to shit about 5 billion litres of fluid out on the way home which was a laugh* So it was immobilised for another week or so till yesterday when it was finally replaced. I'm trying to sweet talk a mechanic I know into swapping the gearbox over, it has a known issue dropping down from 3rd to 2nd gear were it makes an extremely unpleasant crunch, I can drive around it for now though. Plan is to get it through it's MOT in May and take it from there. I'll probably use it more than an I initially thought due to petrol prices being OMFG, makes sense when the rest of the fleet are thirsty bastards. Overall VELLY PLEASED Looking good! I kinda regret letting this go now, but it was sat doing nothing. I have the replacement box in the back of the van, will get it dropped over to you SRi05

Broadsword
Fuel prices are rising before my eyes, literally. I rocked up for some LPG in the Range Rover. First observation it went up from 82p last week to 96p when I got to the station today. Bugger! I connect the gas filler thingy, press the button and the price rose to 99p as I started to fill up. I've heard of dynamic pricing, but this is more dynamic than I expected! Diesel is defo going to hit £2 per litre isn't it? wesacosa
just been to manor park classic auction. have to say I was quite impressed. No catalogue fee or fee to register to bid. Even have a 4 post lift you can view the cars on in week leading up to auction. Fuzz Townshend and the guy from Salvage hunters classic cars have some interest in the business and both were there. Nice mix of cars . Fancied a cheeky one on the Estelle or the Ital but didn't in the end. Ital went for a song at 3k that Nova saloon had 5700 on clock , although didn't see what it went for Six-cylinder, LightBulbFun, Dyslexic Viking and 10 others
