My E30 is mobile again after a new ignition lock and some minor fettling, which is good, as it means I can get out the other cars that were stuck behind it in the shed.

First to emerge into the sunlight is the Vauxhall 2300S, seen here with its delinquent slant four second cousin.

It fired straight up once the fuel pump had had a chance and is running very sweetly. Just needed a couple of PSI in the tyres, and the wiper blades have mysteriously disintegrated. I’ll give it an oil change soon too, just as a treat, and daily it for a spell.

The BMW needs more attention if it’s to get an MOT though. Perhaps surprisingly, not because of rust — details here:

That VX is absolutely lovely.

Found another pic of the Aston I passed by in a back street. It was maybe Kensington ish as we had paid a visit to the science museum and my car radar was alerted as there are a few dealers tucked away in mews garages around there. It was a db6 auto in a subdued colour, so pretty much what I would choose to have at the ready if I was an occasional visitor to my London address

DB6 Mk2; the flared arches make the difference, I forget whether it was just wider tyres or if AM widened the track.

I've spent the day sitting in the sun drinking beer and reading, all very lovely except now I'm lobster red and rather sore!

A friend brought round a set of decent wings for the Fiesta too, hopefully will get them fitted along with the O2 sensor and it'll be ready for an MOT and hopefully it'll be easy enough to sell after that!

There’s a weekly car night at a local motorbike repair shop/alcohol free bar/pizzeria/ coffee  shop/identify crisis haunt  on a Tuesday.

Took the magic wagon today as it was the most easily accessible.

Look what bloody parked next to us!

Can’t get away from Deux Chevauxs!

Much quieter than the last time I was here but a few nice things.

Either there's a few little Lotus like that our way or I see this one buzzing around a lot!

And what is that pale Volvo/American coupe/yacht looking thing?

Came to the conclusion that spaceship Civics were scientifically designed to attract dirt. I don't know what it is about them, whether it's the shape, the angles of the panels or what, but they're a complete magnet for muck, crap and general road dust and dirt. It all just seems to stick.

Noticed it's not just mine either, passed  5 or 6 of them today and they were all about as filthy as mine.

So the w210 disgraced itself by going into limp mode occasionally on the trip to Battersea.

Anyway after a bit of a road test back home I could her a whoosh and a loss of boost and after a few things tightened up we have full boost once more.

I presume the sudden loss of boost made the ecu panic as at higher speed/ load it would cut the boost entirely and then return to normal if you switched off. It would do it again if you pushed boost up a bit too far.

Anyway, normal service resumed, and trip mpg quite good as I tended to feather the throttle a bit rather than just gun it. Lots of construction work around the old power plant as Apple are making it an HQ later this year.
