Cavcraft
Newly charged battery fitted to Galaxy, short drive to fuel station tenner's worth of Shell's finest added. Took it up the road for a bloody good shoeing and the bastarding thing has gone back into limp mode Had to take the Combo on the panned (40 mile) round trip instead, that threw the EML light on (was told about it by previous owner) but it made no difference at all to the performance. Obvs. like you have to stick to the speed limits for legal and safety reasons, but if you didn't have to stick to the speed limits (or were on a private test track) I think it might* do three figure speeds with more to go. (Cheaper than a bottle of coke) it works too. I’ll see about uploading a video later in the day of it working, its pure AS gold! 😎 egg

Sunny Jim
What's that boy? You're getting bored of being on the train. Would you be happier in a car? New mobile kennel acquired. 9-5 Vector Sport 1.9 TDI auto. 114k, one owner from new, FSH and 12 months MOT. Seems a pretty solid and comfortable place to be. In fair order mechanically but a few giffer scrapes to the bodywork. Unfortunately not all the wheels are round. First time I've ever owned a saloon or an auto. Hoping it'll be a reliable winter beater while the BX comes off the road. dome, Stevebrookman, RayMK and 16 others

ProgRocker
I think my car may have a Traction Control issue, a warning message came up on the display and now the light is permanently on. dean36014
Well made it 15 miles and broke down. Looks like it's bit the bullet. Was cruising lovely at 55mph, yes honestly, then suddenly started emitting clouds of blue smoke out both pipes. No overheating, no coolant loss, oil in water or vice versa. No obvious bubbles in coolant. It would appear to be crankcase breather or something. Awaiting recovery. mercedade, wuvvum, paulplom and 5 others

Cavcraft
Spent about a day and a bit cleaning the van. Yesterday used some TFR, then washed it, clay barred, and cleaned it again. Today T-cut, buffer using heavier grade compound, buffer using medium compound, buffer using lightest compound, followed by polish, paint protector and then wax. Sills had a little surface rust, so sprayed them up then got the heat gun and back-to-black on the plastics. Hard to get a decent photograph, but for a 13 odd year old high mileage van, it's surprisingly decent.
