https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_FXX-K

" the FXX-K has a total power output of 1,050 PS (772 kW; 1,036 hp)"

Will they take a payment plan?

"Like the previous FXX and 599XX, the cars will be kept and maintained by Ferrari and will be available to the owners on track day events."

Oh....

Took the E36 out for a drive today. It hadn't been driven for 5 months so I was expecting all sorts wrong, dodgy or sticking brakes and just some calamity.

It drove spot on. Exhaust still terrible but brakes fine, temperature fine, nothing wayward at all.

It feels like a good one. No knocks or bangs at all. And I won at least one traffic light GP...

“For sale as larger car needed” Disproving probably the most likely made up (by me) reason to change cars by fitting 2 kids, 3 bikes and a grandfather clock into the much abused fiesta. Do these have cambelts? (1.25 petrol) as it saw 6000rpm many times again today. If they didn’t want me to rev it they should of made it coarse and unpleasant like so many older ford units. It’s a ghia so I do have plush upholstery  to sit on whilst the scrap man makes his way to me.

Some minor tinkering as my new plates arrived. Yes they're pressed but those who know me know they're legal. Not to everyone's taste but I think they really suit the look on the Lexus. The Lexus and IS200 badges sourced directly from Lexus at £££ but I'm a pedant and wanted to restore them. Popped in LED side lights on the front which was easy as there's masses of room. The rear number plate lights also got treated to LED's. Bit of a faff as you have to remove the whole rear panel but patience and the right trim removal kit help immensely, and resulted in zero broken clips! Just awaiting my iso fitting kit for the DAB/Bluetooth pioneer and then I'll be dead chuffed. It's getting serviced next week when I visit the parents too. Very satisfied so far.

A cast ally badge from the grill of one of these,

A very unusual addition to my small collection of automotive badges & emblems. It wants stripping of the old paint and dirt and repainting but that’s an easy job.

£2.50 each or 2 for £4

I got to my local Lidl 3 times a week and have yet to see these. Not one of those store-specific promotions is/was it?

In other news some 6mm studs have arrived for the Toyota's thermostat housing. I'm hoping I'll get a day soon where I can flush out the neat water that's in the cooling system and replace it with the lovely genuine* Toyota red coolant in the garage.

Bit of a hike from Chichester! I know their "Wine of the week" is store specific. Then again the middle of Lidl random tat, tools and man things aisles get raped every Thursday and Sunday when the promos start

Is that the one “endorsed” by Quentin Wilson it used to have a full page ad in the classic car press with a little mug shot of Quentin beside some testimonials- might be a different but similar product?

Almera passed the MOT. Same advisories regarding the windscreen chip and oil leak.

Question: I have a new advisory as my NSR tyre valve stem is slightly damaged. I have checked it myself if I move it one side then air escapes. Is this an easy repair? As it had new tyres 9 months ago, I wonder if the tyre fitters could sort it.
