I'm not touching that band, the moss has claimed it. 1 hour ago, Mally said: My path is full of those elastic bands. If it's the large bands I'd pick them up and keep them, they're high quality bands, almost impossible to break and will stretch enough to band two big Amazon boxes together. On a more serious note, it annoys me when other postmen throw them away too. My day off cover bloke does it. When I come back from a day off I usually end up picking up at least ten of them. It's really not hard to put them in your pocket, bag or on your wrist. And if you throw them away then you have to go and find more the next day making more work for yourself, it makes no sense. But then Royal Mail have a habit of employing people who would be unemployable in the real world. Probably less so now we're supposed to be a proper business but in the old days we were like a care in the community offshoot. jumpingjehovahs, Amishtat, Skizzer and 1 other 2
Ghosty
I think part of the Jag's idling issues may have stemmed from the fact the carpet and floor mat was jamming the throttle, along with the extra carpet and underlay (?!) on top of it. Also, the lower mats were ridiculously damp, presumably the carpet wasn't letting it air properly. It explains why the car gets so damp inside, as I don't think it's leaking from anywhere. It's not the windscreen anyway. I've been thinking a bit lately too about how it fits into my life, and if all goes to plan, in summer I might see about trading it for something else. The moss has been there ages but closer inspection shows we are now growing actual plants. This is genuine carbon offsetting isn't it? Those foam rubber things(I assume for noise attenuation?) seem to deteriorate into hydroponic growth media quite swiftly, the ones on the electroshite have done the same so I'm pondering a one way trip to the bin, especially as there's no noisy dizzle to make noise needing attenuating. vulgalour
I've had the BX for a year now... well, a year and one month. That time has flown. In a few days, I'll've owned the Princess for 8 years. You could say I've had plenty of ups and downs with the two of them. #dadjokes #blame@MikeKnight adw1977, Skizzer, egg and 6 others 7

stuboy
Well today I had the pleasure of driving a 69 plate 208 pug, and it was terrible, u need feet size 3, why is the analogue and digital speedo, rear seats are only fit children and midgets, what's the sos button for?, gear change vacant, steering light and fast no feedback, redeeming feature is dab radio and thank christ a normal handbrake not that infuriating electric one... Absolutely my favourite game with the Activa. Nothing like chucking it into a roundabout "at speed" and watching the Impreza WRX behind you panic as they find themselves understanding towards the island. They just don't expect a scruffy 90s Citroen to be able to change direction faster than they can. -- -- -- My welder has looked like this the whole time I've had it (hand-me-down from a friend who bought a new one). The side cover was delivered a few weeks after I got the welder, but was then immediately misplaced. I'd not consciously seen it since at least three houses ago. Until this surfaced when I was looking for something else a couple of days ago. This makes my OCD unreasonably happy. HillmanImp
Every now and then a person who was in the public eye for one reason, suddenly appears doing something completely different. Like that bird off Coronation Street wearing an of the shoulder number in Parliament. Here's another one. Travel reporting suddenly got very abstract and possibly quite dark. lanciamatt
It's right what they say, there is more older cars on road near London than most places. I was at What's left of vauxhall head office for last 2 days on a training course, saw alsorts of 80s and 90s chod driving about. I was sad to see vauxhall site like it is, pretty much totally empty now, only on star there, everything else gone to Coventry, end of an era.
