The best part of it was when it was axed in 2010.

I dunno if I have a subconscious hatred of it because last of the summer wine meant bath time and bed for school the next day when I was a bairn.

Nothing so sinister as subconscious memories. It was just unfunny shite.

Although they did revive the format for the Top Gear relaunch with Clarkson May and the other one.

Me again, How Many Left has just had it's big annual update to the end of 2018....

1993 Mondeos are down to 182 taxed examples.

51 invacars, 10 SORN

up from 50, and 9 SORN

when it says "Licensed" does that also include the SORNed ones are there actually "61" Invacars around?

Another thing, MSE says autoaid is going up to £60 from £48 on 15th May, so act now if you want to get it.

I think this was inevitable once they ditched the 'pay and reclaim' model.  Last year increased from £42 to £48.  Presumably will end up in line with the more traditional providers.  Shame!

That means 61. You're either SORN'd or paying VED. I wonder who the two are that have 'found' a V5? I'm sure you'll know!

I want to say one or 2?

are TPA621M, as she was Taxed, then SORNed by accident by the DVLA then taxed again all within about a week during January

tho they say Q4 2018, when do they start and end the quarter?

otherwise im not actually sure :) AFAIK TPA is the latest invacar to hit the road etc

the weird thing is a bunch have year of manufacture/first registration in the 2000s/2010s,

only a few seem to actually show up properly

does the place where howmanyleft get this data from also include the registration numbers? :)

After the NEC Restoration Show I agreed to recommission the Panther Rio that was the star of the Panther stand. It had already had sills and paintwork done, to a decent standard but it didn’t run too well, dash woodwork looked sorry for itself and only 3 electric windows worked. A/C was disconnected (belt and tensioner missing) and the bonnet alignment was poor.

Quite a job list added to a full service and MOT as well as a desire to have electronic ignition fitted.

Having got it on the lift earlier today I looked at it for potential MOT issues. Sadly the right front chassis rail is badly deteriorating below the battery (a famous Dolomite trait) and the subframe needs to come down to make a proper job of it. Otherwise not too bad, but it’s now a long term project and will go on the back burner until Autumn time.

There are still 3,000 odd ZX's as a comparison (2/3rds SORN mind). What a great car they were.

Visas? 20 Taxed, 95 SORN'd. 12 of the overall total are convertibles. We did a good thing.

Quite an increase in MGB GTs. Actually higher than it was back in 2010. Likewise MGBs has gone up a thousand too. However they have also gone up in value since too!

On the E-type, there is more licensed last year than ever before.

Infact I'm seeing this on quite a lot of popular 70s British classics. E.g. Triumph Spitfire/Dolomite Sprint/GT6/Stag, Morris Minor, Austin Mini, etc.

I guess this blip is to do with the MOT exemption?

Also shows Rarity != High Value

A Mondeo chap has done an analysis of the Mk1 figures. Credit to him, not me.

highlights:

- There's fewer than 1400 Mk1's taxed
- That is less then 0.01% of all Mk1's ever registered in the UK left on the road
- Numbers overall have reduced by 12% 2017 to 2018
- The most common taxed models, LX, SI and GLX have reduced in number by 25-30%
- The rarest models are the 24v Auto and 24v Si Auto

Waved goodbye to the CLK Today (was good to see you again Dave)

Later, I came across a bit of an early 2000s time warp whilst at Tesco....
