meshking
Not Rick Pembro. Although I understand they will be together tomorrow at the 2cv racing. Rick meyers who I’ve known for nearly 25 years now. He used to be full time at PTS in isleworth then went his own way, most recently at the N Randell rolls Royce specialist I mentioned to xtriple. Now he’s bus driving in London, part time at PTS and mobile too. He does work hard I’ll give him that! His daughter is now in second year at university studying mathematics- I remember her being born! Anyway, he’s basically looked after all my cars for twenty years. He’s pretty booked up. But if you need things doing on the 2cv I’ll ask if he’s interested - he lives in Hampton. Oh, and the GSAMI rally is coming up if you want somewhere to go to - rural life centre in Farnham.http://rural-life.org.uk/html/Events/Citroen-rally.htmlAh - of course, I think now you have mentioned this before (and probably I've asked the same, sorry!) It looks like I might be free on that day - would be a good run for my 2cv. Sent from my SGP621 using Tapatalk
Tadhg Tiogar
The CX battery has been on charge overnight, and the individual cells are now bubbling gently. No sign of the green light showing "Fully charged" coming on yet.

richardmorris
In preparation for rick coming back to be my house mechanic for a day ( neighbours have their eye on him too now!) ive ordered the clutch master cylinder (£33) and taken the driver’s seat out of the x1/9 and removed the bottom of the steering column cover. Now you can actually see the cylinder without dislocating a shoulder! What would be really useful for this is a short raise ratchet Allen key. Does such a thing exist? The seat base extends over the Allen bolt so you can’t use a socket wrench on it. dome

MarvinsMom
been to Shildon today for a classic show. took Marvin and Cocopop. no black mini 1000 as that is in disgrace. last week on a run over to Malton we had too stop and let it cool down as it brewed up, and once back in Pickering i found an oilly deposit all round the n/s back wheel. now, there isn't any oil in the back hub, BUT there is grease, so, it seems that we've blown a wheel bearing, and given how the hubcap was scalding hot to the touch, i think as the bearings failed its melted all the grease, that has then squirted out of the dust cap and then all over the wheel. so, i've got a new radiator (off Kerry for my upcoming birthday, i really wanted another tot train, but the rad will be more useful) and i've got a pair of back wheel bearings to fit at some point. until then though, the balck mini will be stopping where it is, so that it can think about its attitude. so with that one not playing nicely, we had to manage with these two instead. we also saw these and been a train museum we saw these too Vantman, johngarty, Six-cylinder and 15 others

cort16
I bought an interior for a Bentley Continental years ago. It's been sat in my lockup after I realised it was way too heavy for my original application.I sold it on ebay and had a guy drive from Oxford to pick it up. He turned up in a VW Amorak and the seats are too big so the tonneau cover wouldn't close. He got one in the back seats and I gave him my old car cover and a hand full of cable ties to cover it if it started raining. He bought a damaged one for 7 grand. The front suspension was knackered but apparently it's all Audi A8. He recon's including the seat upgrade he'll have it roadworthy for 10 grand! oldcars, dome and Slartibartfast
loserone
Saw your mini and minimetro at Shildon, you didn't seem to be near them when we were passing and having two-under-two limits hanging around for people you don't know off the interwebs. Both looked ace! That civic was at Stanhope show earlier this year, I seem to recall it has an offset JDM-yo! rear number plate. Edit: it does. AMC Rebel
Yes! Tank is bolted in (not connected yet). It's the actual proper tank - a big improvement on the previous lash-up (done before my ownership) which was the wrong tank, fitted upside down - Fabricated tank J-Bolt (flip knows where I put the originals - they are 35 bucks a pop from the US and I only have the weekend!) Tam
More like news 36 as I had a double collection on Friday. First one started at 04.45 Yes quarter to 5 in the morning!! It was only an hour and 15 minutes away tae but the fact I was on nightshift sort of contributed.Got a lift down to meet Split-Pin from work, possibly get him out of his bed. After spotting his 75 for sale on here and it being pretty much what I'd been looking for it seemed a good idea. turned out it was and car although not perfect is a really nice example of the 75's comfortable attitude!! Not much happening in Perth at 5 am. Typical collection weather! Journey home completed. Not to shabby!! Safely under cover, hopefully it won't just remain there!! Tam
Second collection revolved around work hours but not mine this time the guy selling! Collecting this for a mate who is on here but never seen him post. He wired me the money and I made the bank just in time for 5 pm shutting. This one was only 30 minutes away but not taxed Another bloody 75!! Super low spec for extra shiteness! Lovely colour though! SiC
If it's taken that long to charge, it has a chance of still working. All those electrons forced in there must have gone somewhere! Unless as heat and gas. How much electrolyte was lost?
