Tamworthbay
I have a certain 340 Volvo that needs to go to a loving home, bit outside your budget but trusted shitter payment plan is on offer I have looked at it but sadly an ex boss of mine who I hated with an absolute passion drove one so they are forever associated with her to me. I am surprised you haven’t found a new home for that one mate as it’s a nice car. I also looked at the 1300 but it was just too much of a project at the moment. purplebargeken
C1am
£200 or offers (reg is M780 XUD). Junkman
Ticket to the end of the road, no logbook, AND it's in Wrecksam? Where do I sign? So what's the problem? It could have been stood up for 38 years, have a buff logbook and be located in Lincolnshire. As usual.
SiC
At the current price on that Saab you'd get your money back purely by taking off the coil pack and scrap value of the rest. Junkman and chaseracer

Guest Hooli
I just played the game in the classic car section. The result: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Saab-hot-Aero-255bhp-spares-or-repair-project/312006655106 WCPGW? stephen01
Chaseracer came up with the solution to this, initially in form of a game. 1. Go to eBay -> Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles -> Cars. 2. Set filters max price 300, max distance 25 miles (or whatever), sort by ending soonest. 3. Buy the first car in the search results. I just did it for myself and it returned this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-206LX-VERY-CHEAP/253232339170 I like the new game you've started - I'm sure it's come up in the past but still fun - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-meriva-1-7-cdti-spares-or-repair-05/322893808762?hash=item4b2df8847a:g:Rh8AAOSwTQtaExjP

tommotech
The motivation to get the Capri sorted is to get another snotter, that you could probably do without and will suck up time and energy. The twist was 'let's see how long it takes until someone actually buys his search result'. In true spirit of this forum, it happened within the first third of the first page of the thread. Junkman
WTF is that doing in the classic section? it's a new car ffs. Those categories are way too academic for the average eBay mong. There are 14 plate Vauxhall Diesels in the classic car section, then you find a 1951 Mercedes 170S in the regular cars section. Stanky
To start the ball rolling. Suggest me a saloon, buying price under £1500 to suit my executive lifestyle. I'd like something with either a V6 or a straight 6, ideally 2.5l or above but capable of 30mpg on a run. No diesels. Starter for ten to mark out the territory. Competitors to a late 90s/early 00s Lexus GS. Ideally with no catastrophic weaknesses. No rovers/MGs. loserone

Dirk Diggler
I've been planning on starting a thread; if anybody sees a good Volvo 850 tdi estate auto for sale I'm all ears Or if anybody can track this one down that I missed a couple of years ago; I have the same one in petrol but commute getting longer; it was sold to Wexford and I've had a few eyes looking for it with no success http://www.adverts.ie/car/volvo/850/1997-volvo-850-2-5-tdi-full-nct/5295281 I've no problem going to the UK to pick one up; I'll end up paying 700-1000 to reregister it, then €1080 a year to tax it; so to travel and pay all that I really want a good one; hoping to do it this side of Christmas
