Yes, that might be what I do with it.

We went to the Birtley branch yesterday afternoon, there about 10-15 mins. Not much chat he looked the car over marked it down on the alloy wheels. offered a price. asked if we wanted to sell with the p plate on.So we have to wait till the v5 comes back. But it could have gone yesterday afternoon.

It became an opportunity to make jokes about electric cars, so I binned both attempts.  Seemed unlikely to sell on here anyway.

That's really an incredible shame. I wish you best of luck with the sale. I'm sure it will be a good servant for somebody. Sadly I can't justify it for more than a few personal reasons (house purchase/roffle win/2 mile commute)

The car should pay for itself after a few years for the right buyer.

Pendragon promise to beat WBAC I think, so its worth trying a few of these places.

Pendragon=Evens Halshaw? offered £800 less than WBAC with out seeing it. Her car has 4 fucked alloys(cheap Chinese shite) that have badly corroded so we were marked down on them.So if EH did the same that could be £1200ish.

To be honest, I'm not sure how it works. I assume you can barter them off against each other but then they'll probably all just try and batter you down to the same price when you take it in.

If you need to take it in each time to get a proper quote theres probably no point as it not worth the hassle.

The only time I used WBAC though I managed to get 100% more than there initial offer upon seeing it by just holding my guns. Still slightly under their initial valuation but quite happy as that car was proper fucked.

LEAF just sold to a couple of very pleasant chaps from Kilbirnie.  £5800 and I still have the wall charger to sell separately.  So £2200 depreciation over 28 months, and plenty more than that saved when compared to a 35 mpg car.

that sounds pretty spot on  to me, going EV again?

That's the one.

It looks like it's probably had a couple of boy racer owners, but most of these seem to.  Sounds like a fancy two tone horn, looks like it might have been lowered a touch but still rides well.  Exhaust scraped on a huge bump around Coventry this morning, but I can't think of a car I've had that didn't do that with those passengers in the back.  Indeed I used to do 50 not 80 in some cars....

Not sure if it's supposed to be faster than it is, but looking up the specs it's 13sec to 60, where I'm used to the 206 and the leaf, so it's going to feel slow.

Not quite as clean as the 206 but drives well enough and has plenty of space, and seems to be sipping the fuel.

Pug news!

206 has been left with @Jimbob McGregor for a cambelt / waterpump / service etc. so I'm running around in the 205, or would be if I needed to go anywhere.  My usual 300+ miles a week seems to be down a bit for some reason I can't fathom.

The 205 has been plodding on here nicely.  Shown here on a family meal  / emergency food / @gm bedslat distribution run.

This feller was helping me tidy the garage ready for our move, and found a proper Peugeot aerial

Off with the old and

IMG-20200404-WA0043.thumb.jpeg.07f39bc31eb32642577993919e37c54a.jpeg

On with the new

It's mostly been parked in the road to try and slow down some of the crazy speeders outside our house

It doesn't always work, I witnessed a lucky escape today where the person coming offside to pass it was doing 60 and didn't slow or give way to the oncoming car.  EEK.

Yesterday I gave it a wash off

Then used it as plant transport

And Vactanned the shit out of it

This morning I was disappointed to see that the 205 was crying tears of VACTAN

IMG-20200426-WA0006.thumb.jpeg.32d1f362725df144729e566c3d065cbb.jpeg

It wouldn't come off with polish or g3, so I wet it and took to it with 600 grit ABRANET.

Once sanded back to white, I gave half of it a quick polish with whatever shit I have lying about:

The roof is fucked though

I was going to take the stickers off, but instead I put more on

Interior light has been removed, presumably because the shit aerial was leaking in.

It's in the glovebox though, let's have a look

The bit this nail is pointing at is supposed to be held in, but there's a bit of plastic snapped off.

IMG-20200426-WA0056.thumb.jpeg.e27427e897e87b28e779dd36fc9e7c39.jpeg

However, I've just soldered the switch together so it's always on 'courtesy' function

IMG_20200426_184419.thumb.jpg.fdd1b5989d7a9e02c2cffd1b6e5bb56a.jpg

This is great*, because

a) the door switch doesn't work

IMG-20200426-WA0068.thumb.jpeg.89981f187878c88059fe30ca635b3a19.jpeg

It's fucked.

and

b) there's not enough plastic clips left to hold the light in.

So I've bought both on eBay, along with a new Aux belt so I can properly immobilise the car.

We were supposed to be moving house last weekend, or thereabouts.  Back when that still seemed likely, we needed to run over to the new house to check the roof had been fixed and some of the rotten garden furniture had been removed (because the idea of moving into a house where there's a rotten, unsafe Wendy house that the kids can't use seems like a disaster).  So we did an essential* trip to look at it, with no interaction with other people.  Here's the trip over the top.

Otherwise, the 306 soldiers on too.  I don't take many pictures of it because it's not mine, it's Mrs L1's

Those fucking awful wind deflectors have gone in the bin, they literally stopped you being able to see anything in the mirrors.

I have had some complaints from @Jim Bell and @320touring that the google hosted images weren't working, so I've just uploading the whole lot into the relevant posts, which took 2x as long as writing them in the first place.  Anyway, everyone should be able to see all the images now, holler if not.
