Wow, I wasn’t expecting that! You’ll have to let us know what you were drinking. I think I’ll be giving it a swerve!,

Even after reading it was all chewed inside, I didn't expect it to be to such a point

I’m guessing from the result that you had the full bottle!

Even as a serial Toyota-licker I'm struggling to see the appeal - but I'm somehow very glad this has been rescued!

I doubt you'll lose much on it, even if Lagos may eventually be in its future...

😂

I’d like to say yes to that but alas I need little encouragement when it comes to this sort of thing.

Oddly enough I’ve often been sniffing around these for a few years but most advertised are out of my comfort level on price. There needed to be a crashed  and ruined one going cheap.

I always thought these were actually quite funky looking.

Good little practical  run about,

Even though we are all on AS for broadly similar reasons, I'm starting to think an intervention may be required :)

This is... an interesting purchase.

I mean, if it was free, well ok it's fine to go to the tip. But wasn't there a slightly less mouldy one available? Shirley they're all about £500ish now, whether they're ripped to pieces or still respectable?

There is no more Which? Best Buy vehicle than a Yaris Verso. Welcome to Old Age.

That’s spectacularly awful. Also it is identical to the one my father in laws 96 year old mother in law still drives. Excellent purchase!

What the hell are you planning to do with it?

Idles beautifully, everything works , I’ve binned the remaining seat covers and thrown a blanket over the  rear seat backs.

Im probably easily pleased, but I love it 😂

Never driven a Verso, but used to rent Yari (Yes I'm classing that as plural for Yaris) from Easy rent a car when they were a £1 a day, for no other reason than they were a £1 a day.
Great cars and loved the central pod for the speedo /rev counter. Astra GTE esque.

Did you know about the space saver, as did not notice that in the pics or description of ebay ad?

Reminds me of Keith Laird from Phoenix Nights who was spotted in the back of his car with a blanket and a terrier.....

Is that a cassette/ CD combo fitted?

Great to see this pressed into immediate use - when they first appeared on the roads I thought the Verso was truly gopping in appearance, but two decades of BMWs seems to have redefined this for me...

Practical, reliable, cheap. Definite winnermobile.

I did a quick check over and the only thing that doesn’t seem to work is the CD player. I found a cd compilation in the glovebox but doesn’t want to give me choons

Back in the 90s, a fellow motor trader from Leeds left his newish RR Vogue in the car park at Hunslet auctions with his rescue St Bernard in the back.

He came out after 30 mins to find practically every piece of leather eaten…

Same here. Dibs when you get bored, assuming it looks a lot worse than it really is.

Noted. Yes to be honest its quite fun to drive (an auto so a bit like a go kart) I shared with @RobT  some screenshots the vendor put on the listing of other users messages. Sort of could have been ill advised to deal with. I was hammered anyway. But actually I met him today and he was a  really decent bloke. He sends a lot of stuff to Nigeria, and Tavistock as it turns out.

WHS^^

Just in from work, thought I'd see the Big Reveal. Holy fuck, that's mullered. Much more suitable for tip-runs than a Bentley though. Well done.
