richbraith
Air in the heater matrix. Had one the same, ended up leaving it running with the front end hiked up at a 45 degree angle on a two post lift. That's how mine started! Sounded like there was a stream running behind the dash. RoadworkUK
These have among my favourite rear lights of the '90s. They look good on the back of Beulas coaches, too. richbraith and fiatdaft
fiatdaft
Also they unscrew easily and provide a nice flat mount for magnetic towing lights ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
hennabm
I had the 1.4 DGT - H544 LFS in maroon. The thing was all right and very useful when we had the fuel crisis back at the start of the century. Instead of having to queue for unleaded, I was able to go up to the LRP pump and get as much as I needed. as it was pre cat. Also useful when travelling abroad as a push of a button converted the readout to KMH. richbraith
bramz7
Heater matrix it is then..... Theres a really sheddy one on Auto Trader for £250, sans MOT. Cost me £45 more for a fully working one.... So, I think I figured out why there is so many left in Italy, they command decent coin! Here is a good example: https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/fiat-tipo-1100-dgt-gasoline-white-a34c264e-e2e8-b15f-e053-e250040ad182?cldtidx=3 Or if you're feeling a bit underwhelmed by the normal interior... https://www.autoscout24.com/offers/fiat-tipo-1-6-i-e-cat-5-porte-suite-gasoline-silver-78ce0653-3d5a-6e15-e053-e350040a67f0?cldtidx=8 richbraith
richbraith
That one on autotrader is identical to the dead driveway one near me.
mk2_craig
Tipos are great. I wish I had bought Nigel Mansells old one when it popped up on eBay a few years back.

Pillock
Yeah he had a Tipo Quatteovalveywalvey when he was driving for Ferrari. Edit: it was a DGT! Maybe he needed a few more podium finishes to get the better one. richbraith

mk2_craig
I had thought it was a sediciv... but a quick hunt suggests not, badge says granturismo. Guernsey registration definitely correct though. http://www.corgi-world.nl/90tipo.htm RichardK and CGSB
richbraith
That's not a model I've ever seen before, wonder if it was a one off?

bramz7
Gran Turismo was a legit model. However BRG was limited to the Mansell edition.

It runs nicely, and handles well too, the steering is very direct. Shame the paint is flat and the door channels on the rear door like to rust but its good otherwise. I like to think this one is a keeper but I am up to three keeper cars now, and a daily, which is bordering uncomfortable car levels. One of my favourite features on the Tipo, is that if you want to enter POWER mode you have to be travelling at 6000rpm. No thanks. Glad you got your one back Rich. Hi do you still have the Tipo ? bramz7
@Icom102 No sadly not. It's still around though. The current owner is a massive Fiat aficionado.

It looks okay on top, but as anyone who knows Tipos knows they hide rust well!
