This is fantastically shite! Top drawer!
Can't decide if that's a truly shite-y CX parked in front, or an Astra with no wheels...?
It's a CX, one of many parked there. There's also a couple of GS's, too.

When was the last time one you saw one of these on the road?

One of my ex's had one in about 1992 and replaced it with a Horizon! That girl and shite, wonder where she is now?

So what do we reckon? Lotus Replica OMG RWD GR8 4 DRFTN or Jeez, what a heap. Personally I like it, nice RWD small car could be a whole heap of WIN once sorted.

Bloody Hell, I scroll down the page and find a load of other Sunbeams! Where'd they all emerge from???? Do you reckon last months appearance in Practical Classics has made the owners believe they are now uber desireable??

Auto AND Shite. New website mascot?

Er, I'm sorry, how much did you say?

Nice to se the last one would sell as a trimmed shell. I could make a lovely 1litre base model out of that! Avenger running gear and an Imp engine. Niiiiice!

That looks absolutely frigged.Still, someone might get a cheap decent interior out of it.

My mum had a Chrysler Sunbeam that she bought from her uncle around 1980, it was an S reg. AFM 441S rings a bell, maybe 411. Metallic bronze 1.6GL, unfortunately I was only 5 when she sold it so I never got chance to quiz her on the rear-drive handling characteristics or convince her to turn it into a Lotus replica.I did have a theory that Sunbeams were built with dented bumpers, as a car-mad kid I used to spot them everywhere and can't recall seeing a single one (ours included) without a parking ding.

This bloke sells some right old chod, listings seemingly written by an unintelligent 6 year old.

Why the bloody hell is this so tempting? Tempted by these lately, shame is a new wing and door is quite hard to find?

But cheap and would make an honest project. Bedfords a tad far for someone without a trailer however.

Plenty of these had problems that when you opened the drivers door the leading edge would catch on the wing. Don't know what caused it though.

Internet says there were made, but in Portugal and not for the UK, so we can assume a genuine one would be LHD and not RHD, as this one is.

And i highly doubt someone swapped the wheel to the other side.

And 1990 is 2 years after the conversions were done.

Also, window frames still on the front doors? Very subtle, doesnt point to the fact it came out of the factory with a proper weather shield does it.....

Heres da real deal:
