Albert Ross
Pog....that 109 might not be what it states on the tin. Different wings, different headlamp panel and bonnet to the other pictures shown of the original on the first eBay listing. no engine, wiring all mashed around, no road/rail kit, TBH it looks like a poor collection of bits and a numberplate slung on in a vain attempt to make some cash out of a gullible fool. This one for sale looks like an A suffix combat, with vertical lamp holes, whereas I'm fairly certain the original was a 1963, making it a B suffix with different lamp panel, and deffo cut down horizontal civvy wings. Not that I'm a rivet counter or owt............ pandamonium
Impressive knowledge there sir. I was once a Land Rover nut myself and regularly bought L.R.O. mag. I still hold out for a SIIa pickup 109" - one day.

Mr_Bo11ox
That escort is a megabargain at £325 with a zetec fitted! I'm sure the wiring cant be that difficult if you are methodical, I would LOVE to have a crack at bringing that to life.

See I keep looking at that and thinking it's a good buy (I have a mega-trouser-tent for Mk3 escorts at the mo). But then I look at all the caravans in the background of the pics and think that where there's twin-axle 'touring' caravans, there's dodgy deals, and meat-fisted nutters ready to take you for all your cash.... He stuffed it into a hedge after a few months, I suspect on purpose. I would love to get one of these and convert it to K-series power, then drive it everywhere like a TWAT. Somehow that seems a far more appealing option than just buying a K-series metro in the first place, even though it no doubt involves many weeks of pissing about in the garage of an evening sorting out rust and wiring problems.
