Guest Kyle
Look at this classy machine! This is fantastically shite! Top drawer! Can't decide if that's a truly shite-y CX parked in front, or an Astra with no wheels...?It's a CX, one of many parked there. There's also a couple of GS's, too. Pillock
My mum had a Chrysler Sunbeam that she bought from her uncle around 1980, it was an S reg. AFM 441S rings a bell, maybe 411. Metallic bronze 1.6GL, unfortunately I was only 5 when she sold it so I never got chance to quiz her on the rear-drive handling characteristics or convince her to turn it into a Lotus replica.I did have a theory that Sunbeams were built with dented bumpers, as a car-mad kid I used to spot them everywhere and can't recall seeing a single one (ours included) without a parking ding. brammy777
Internet says there were made, but in Portugal and not for the UK, so we can assume a genuine one would be LHD and not RHD, as this one is.And i highly doubt someone swapped the wheel to the other side. And 1990 is 2 years after the conversions were done. Also, window frames still on the front doors? Very subtle, doesnt point to the fact it came out of the factory with a proper weather shield does it..... Heres da real deal:
