Spottedlaurel
Crikey, that Bluebird looks rather nice. Depending on how my QX investigations go I’d like to have a crack at that.

wuvvum
is this what the listing makes it out to be?I would have expected a 1966 P6 to have the later rear lights with integral reversing lights?
dollywobbler
is this what the listing makes it out to be?I would have expected a 1966 P6 to have the later rear lights with integral reversing lights?Yeah, but a development car is always going to be a 'bitsa' really. 1966 was the changeover as far as I'm aware. I've seen a 1968 Series 2 development car with all the Series 2 trimmings. No idea whether that was genuine either but in this case, the number plate looks like other development ones. Spottedlaurel
Minter of a bluebirdNot too bad a price either, really close to where i live actually.I'll find out how good this is very soon, as I spoke with the seller a while ago and agreed to buy it for £525 I had a maximum limit of £500 to spend, ideally I'd wanted to spend less but all the £3-400 stuff didn't have much test or tax and I just need something that'll give me minimum grief for the next 2-3 months. I know from my previous saloon that these are great dailies (mine got me through last winter quite happily). Come winter time I'll either sell this one on with plenty of MoT still on it, or ideally keep it in reserve alongside the Camry or similar that I want to get. Given that it has half a tank full of petrol, I figured I could bend my rules slightly and absorb the extra £25 Being a 1.8 auto it's obviously not going to be as quick as the 2.0 manual, but as a later model it has better spec and the hatch will be handy for timber buying. Swings and roundabouts... Seller sounds interesting, I look forward to seeing his other cars. Dabbles in selling one or two it seems - he sold a rather nice-looking Magnum not long ago, and he's just bought a Triumph 2000. More to come on it soon! r.welfare
Well done SL - seeing that Bluebird brings back memories of an identical car I helped a friend buy back in the winter of 2001. An absolutely spotless one-owner car with 56k backed by a full Nissan history from a "Mercedes specialist" operating underneath some dodgy railway arches near the Villa ground in Brum. I think he paid £925. It lasted for 4 years with no hassles whatsoever until he chopped it in for an MX-5. As I recall, it wasn't particularly slow, and very easy to drive. Certainly my 1.8 manual was spritely enough.Interestingly he had no problems with the gearbox, but a friend's parents had a 2.0 (same age) from new and the 'box died after 7 years and only 60k - they chopped it in for one of the first (double-digit chassis number!) Almera 1.6 autos in the country...Cable tie those wheeltrims on though, as the GS-specific ones (with the dark grey centre "discs") are impossible to get from Nissan. I know, I tried! If you need picking up from a local train station let me know...

r.welfare
These little things are quite popular in Guernsey. The ad states it was bought new at the Basingstoke Honda dealer, must have been some kind of special order as they never dealt in Kei-cars to the best of my knowledge (used to be a client of mine and I bought a Civic from them)! http://tinyurl.com/l82l8t

r.welfare
GR8 4 LOCOST etc, be like Xr1984! Never realised they did a 1.8 carb Ghia on the Mk2, I thought it was 2-litre injected only.
