pogweasel
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-escort-MK3-e ... 0399475013Yowser! If I owned that I would have to fit some ladders on the roof, various buckets and squeegees in the boot and develop a chippy demeanour (which no doubt derives from the knocking off of bored housewives under the pretence of window cleaning). Superb.
Guest
There's a MK2 Astra hatchback which goes around Dewsbury which seems to be doing the whole window-cleaning routine. Unless ladders are some kind of RATLOOK SCENE thing. Our window cleaners have a knackered MK5 Escort Van with a dozen half-hearted "England" stickers on it. Sometimes I see them sat in it on a morning, smoking rollups and looking miserable.
pogweasel
Our windows were cleaned by a man with a really grotty old Mazda wagon. Though we don't have him come round any more, cos half the time he couldn't be arsed to do the back ones. He's got a grey-import Pajero now, which is very disappointing. Mr_Bo11ox
^^^^LOL, too true, that Escort is the ultimate weapon for hunting local Milfs! This Fiesta benefits from having had the inner wing 'modified' to take a 5-speed gearbox - this mod basically involves chopping away 90% of the chassis leg. I seem to recall the famous yellow fiesta 'supersport convertible' having the same mod, except in that car it had been skilfully removed with a garden spade. See if you can see the mod: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Fiesta-1982-Mk-1-1-3-Ghia-Facelift-Version_W0QQitemZ300320624316 The vehicle has had a full bear metal re-spray

seth
Hmm, I looked at an old 1959 copy of Motor and in the new car price list the Borgwards were actually not that expensive for an import. Somewhat more than an Austin or Ford obviously but similar to a Volvo, Fiat 1800 or a Humber. Interesting that that one's reckoned to be a SA import but has the same old London area reg. as mine. Bathtub Nash is HUGE!

vicsmith
I`m glad my ebay account has been shot down, I`d be having a bid on that Zephyr and getting myself into a whole heap of trouble. I haven`t seen a "think it`s got a grille ooh no look it hasn`t" square tank for ages, and I think that weird concave not-grille is one of the finest design features of any car, ever. Mr_Bo11ox
heres a cool and very rare vehicle, a super-early 205GTi wito only 33k on it!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1985-Peugeot-205-GTi-Grey-Spares-Repairs_W0QQitemZ200349217469 But: This car has been blocked in a garage with a brick wall built around it for many years. Unfortunately the car has had to be lifted out over the wall hence the marks on the roof, as you can see in the pictures fucking hell, that will take some right old sorting out. they could have lobbed a bit of timber through and put their chains on that instead. He's obv got high hopes cos its got a reserve on it.
