MrRegieRitmo
That would suit me as I actually prefer the look of the Dyane.

MrRegieRitmo
No I just meant it would suit me the fact that they're less sought after! There are things I wouldn't mind adding to my collection ahead of an Acadiane if I had your kind of storage - MkI Passat, Chrysler Alpine, Chrysler Sunbeam, Simca 1100 van (preferably VF2), Renault 20, Renault 18, Datsun Cherry F11 Coupe, Datsun 120Y coupe, all of which are in my top ten favourites! Spottedlaurel
Interesting to see a saloon with the TWR kit on: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1988-MAZDA-626-TW ... 0177880763 £300 with T&T, don't know if the child will still be trapped in the back though, poor thing. There's another one of these on, even same colour, but doesn't look as good (relatively speaking...). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1985-Mitsubishi-C ... 0172946984 I'd definitely buy that if I didn't have the Accord and needed to spend my random 3rd car money. fordpoplier
Still haven't seen a Renault in the flesh over 'ere but of course there's always US ebay. With the value of your English shillings at the moment some of these wouldn't seem too expensive. There's an Alliance, Le Car and cool looking convertiblehttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 37241&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 18110&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 79996&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 46644&rd=
Mr_Bo11ox
Look at this guy. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Midas-GOLD-AVONBAR-1380-UPDATED_W0QQitemZ250186046404 Current state is it has been stripped to get painted. Windows are out, interior is out, all exterior trim is off. It will require a trailer to move.Update - Car now prepped and into grey primer. PLanning to get the car built up tonight and tomorrow if time allows. The difference should be massive. If this car does not meet reserve I will simply paint and MOT and relist for twice as muchWhy not decide this stuff before putting the fugging thing on eBay for crying out loud. wuvvum
Hmmm... I've been trying to work out which of the questions on the red Hillman are jen you whine and which are the result of forum members taking the Michael. Any clues? By the way, I think your quoted power output for the other SoopaMinks is a little optimistic - the engine was a fairly low tune version of the 1725cc lump and I think it made around 65bhp in the Superminx - even less than that (59 I think) in the Series VI Normalminx.Good luck with the sales - if the DS makes half-decent money I might have to have a punt on the working Minx, depending on whether the bidding skyrockets between now and then or not... Volksy
Sorry to hear this guys, hope you all find something soon..I myself am seriously considering leaving where i am, due to unreasonable demands being placed on me.. A job has come up in Switzerland as of next April, so may be heading off over there.. Shame we cant all put our heads together and find something 'shite' related to do.. But i guess there is no money in Shite, thats why we love it so..
pogweasel
Aye, well there's -little- money in shite, but enough to cover the mortgage payment for a few months at least if worst comes to worst. That shouldn't happen though - have two interviews set up for monday, some 'in the pipeline' and about 20 more firms on the hitlist. Just finding someone who is happy to pay me enough to keep me in shite is the challenge, met with a few firms over the last few years who try to bust your balls over these things - I mean am I really going to take £25k and no fringe benefits? I think not Oddly enough they are the same firms with poor reps and high staff turnover.
CortinaDave
I am lucky job wise.. i work in an industry that is notorius for people being out on their ear every 6 months, but i've been working in it now for 9 years and only been kicked out once. That little silver C reg Colt is a beauty! 6 months tax and a years test at 300 notes? plus he'll deliver anywhere in england. Someone needs to snap that up. sadly not me as im swimming in a sea of shite just now.. so much so that i forget what i own half the time.

ChinaTom
I stormed out of my job last week too. Shouted way too loudly at insane German female business partner who had rung me and threatened to sue me to reclaim the cost of some expenses I put in last year; and threw the very expensive Bang & O (whatever the name is) telephone (shame it ain't a stereo) out of the 28th floor window before kicking my metal waste bin into my glass doored filing cabinet. (no-one injured on the ground by the way)Then I remembered that I own half the equity of the company and I stopped when I realized I was hoofing the shit out of my own stuff! Ah well, there goes the year in Germany and the dream of a shite-barn, and here come the lawyers galloping up the corridor. Instead I'll have a look around at what else the company is doing at the moment, and will probably end up spending next year in the northern-most province of China sorting out a sugar factory near Khabarovsk. Whoopy-doo. Minus 17 up there today.Should be some nice Russian spanner-bags up there to snap for you.Good luck with the next jobs guys, and I like your attitude about a longer Xmas.
