These two were mine and I've just sold the pair this morning, rather conveniently to someone local to me!

Good news RD - that gets you down to a more manageable eleventy-nine cars to take care of :) Are we likely to see either of them back on here - or should we be looking on the RCCC forum?

At £255 that is VALUE. Sadly it will probably get smashed to bits imminently, as these are very sought after for BANGAZ. Racer local to me told me he pays UP TO £500 for 'spares/repairs' Mk2 Cavaliers for racing. :(

I remember night time car journeys as a kid identifying cars behind us by their headlights. I wonder what I'd have thought if we were ever followed by one of them!

Yeah, we used to do that too!! In the mid to late '60s. Bet you couldn't do it now, they're all the bloody same!

You only had to tell a Police Wolseley 6/110 or Police Jag S Type ( in London anyway ) - Nothing else behind mattered. Also it was the relationship and distance ( and shape) of the sidelights and headlights that gave the game away quite easily - a Hillman Minx / Cortina / Jag / Zodiac all looked prettey distinctive. Now sidelights are combined with headlights is not so easy.

Probably quite bad! In Japan you could get them in all manner of slow versions, the worst had 13" steels! Though for ultimate povvo spec you need the 2-door:

He has a nice XJ6 on, too. Out of our league though.

Wooah, how bizarre

I was convinced I'd seen this Marina before so I dug out the mag and found the website. Turns out it's a different one in a very similar setting. What a freaky coincidence - both white, both coupes, both low mileage, both povvo versions

I'm bidding on this Lexus GS300 Mk1 to replace the Primera..I've asked a load of questions and it seems decent.Anyone have an opinion? Are they any good?I've always fancied one...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... otohosting

Good cars if they haven't been latterly owned by penniless bellends, as older luxobarges tend to be. I think they are pretty reliable though, rear legroom not what it should be - think XJ6. Personally I'd prefer an early LS400, but that's just me. That one does look nice and standard, does it have plenty of history? (I notice he hasn't filled in the "service history" box).

That's fabulous, really brightened my day

You lazy, lazy twat!

I have got to say looking at that pic again, the poor thing looks lonely, look at the gaps round it, when was the last time you saw that in urban UK parking? Does it smell?:lol:

I think we should all chip in and buy it to keep as an Autoshite mascot. A little Pet Datsun. Excellent. I'll look after it first! :D

I had one of those things, a red two door one. GNF 709N I think it was.Twas in my days of faffage, so I found a dead RWD Sunny, nicked the 1.5 engine out of it and bolted it into the 100A. Then it was quite good fun.I've only ever bought two cars for less than the value of the tax in the window. That 100A (£10 with two months tax and a few weeks MOT), and a Skoda Estelle that I bought at the auctions in '88 or '89 for £25 (including £15 auction indemnity thing). Skoda had 10 months MOT and 11 months tax. Cashing in the tax got me around £85 and the Skoda went across the bridge of no return for around £40.I almost feel guilty, but I was 18ish, I really didn't want to be seen owning a Skoda.. How things change, I can't wait to get Ye Olde Octavia back on the road this summer.
