Owain-328i
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAGUAR-2-2-E-TYPE ... 0285072926That looks a basket case, and the v12 auto running on carbs will be a royal bum rape session on the wallet, in repairs and fuel. I wouldent say ugly, but the series 1 E-Types (originals) are soooooooooooooooooooooo better looking!
wuvvum
Christmas boredom just kicked in Y0! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0291725914 Should be a fairly straightforward exercise.Nice purchase Pog. Those HAs are great little cars - ran one as my daily for nearly a year and the worst problem I had was a broken fan belt.

seth
Pog, totally missed that the HA was headed your way! It looks pretty sound - my thinking is that if a car like that has sat for so long and was full of wag it would be popping out all over by now. Look forward to seeing more. I reckon brake re-build followed by MOT!
retrogeezer
Should I have a look at this?? It's not far away, looks tidy and has fair MOT/Tax to run... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1983-A-REG-AUSTIN ... 0287339960

Guest
1976 Ford Cortina 2.0 GL Brilliant! Kept in a garage since the early 90s, seems to have preserved that "nearly dead" look of the remaining 70s cars around at that time. 1981 Austin miniMetro 1.0 L Hey Pog, your Christmas present has arrived! Early "miniMetro" sort in the absolute scummiest spec available, the 1.0 L. Want headrests? Swivel. For maximum povvo-spec effect, bin the tapedeck and one of the mirrors, then drive over to your local BL specialist to have the suspension pumped up. Spottedlaurel
That Sunny appeals to me. They're not the most robust model Nissan ever made though. The on/off/on-again Carina estate has just gone for £485, looks like to a Toyota owner though don't know whether here or in Ireland. seth
Posting this one more for the photo than the shiteness of the car which itself looks spangly. I just love this as an Ebay picture. Empty car park, obviously parked in specifically to take the photos. And then so almost gets the whole car in. But succeeds beyond superlatives in the position of his shadow. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Austin-Cambridge-A60_W0QQitemZ120356186155

Similar to what my Uncle had in 1990, except red with faded beige roof, damp carpets (offcuts from bedroom circa 1974) and collapsing front suspension. 100%
CortinaDave
I'd say that cortina is a dead cert to end up on the track. Always think wing mirrors look gobsmackingly crap on a mk4...they suit the mk3's but just look rubbish on later cars.Would be ace to do just enough to get it through a test then smoke about in it to upset your neighbours.
