The 4WD decals on the side were actually an optional extra, assume that's the same for the Turbo ones. Unbelievable that it still retains the fruity hubcaps. Find of the month! Spottedlaurel
Thinking about the Subaru estate, I was pleased to see the non-turbo J-reg one still in my mum’s village this weekend. When I last visited it wasn’t about, making me fear it had gone for good.

michiel
Love the Jazz, and that 'car-set in' is brilliant! The ideal car when your hobbies are: Tennis, playing the saxophone accompanied by a small ghettoblaster, something that involves a lot of rope, and of course folding chairs and mopeds. wuvvum
Never seen a semi-auto Simca before. Seems to be a bit of an odd setup too, with a crawler gear and then only two "normal" gears. I can't see it being a particularly quick mode of transportation even with the 'box working properly. Definitely shite though.
Volksy
From this site :- http://www.allpar.com/cars/adopted/simca/1204.html"Simca made sure that many differing customer requirements could be met from within a single range of cars. Along with the four body permutations, the 1118cc could be purchased with a manual or a Ferodo three speed semi-automatic gearbox and in two states of engine tune. The base engine, fitted to the LS and the van, produced 53bhp and a compression ratio of 8.2:1. The slightly more powerful 56bhp unit with a compression ratio of 9.6:1 was fitted to the more expensive GL and GLS models. The semi-automatic Ferodo transmission was an evolution of the Transfluide system introduced by Renault in the Frégate."

Volksy
I really miss the shite that I used to see over in france, I lived out there for two years and the different attitude towards cars is great. Basically the french normally buy new, then run it till it dies, given that the french MOT system means that you only have to have a test every two years and the warmer climate, this can take a long time. Plus they dont seem to have the same snob attitude; well, away from paris anyway, that if you drive an old car, you must be poor!
Volksy
Not sure if this counts as shite as it's expensive, you would get so sick of busybods at the petrol station going "Nice Landrover", like i used to get with my VW Fastback "Nice Volvo" was always the comment!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volvo-C303-TGB-La ... dZViewItem
