12 grand's worth of Freight Rover-chassised V8 nonsense.

Hee hee! What a fantastic POS!

12 grand! Amazing.

On top of that you've got to consider the cost that would be involved in converting back to the original Freight Rover coachwork for it to have any sort of credibility!

On the subject of rare old Pugs...

How cool is that? Will probably be pulled by the Bay 'cos it's still got its blues and twos like, but wouldn't you much rather be rushed to hospital in that than some faceless Sprinter? OK, it looks rather ungainly compared to a Heuliez conversion, but it's probably the only RHD 505 ambulance outside of Africa.

Rusty as a half-acre of Ford Ka's.

ALSO, WE HAVE BEEN TOLD, A GOOD "SKELETON" IE "A" POSTS, "B" POSTS, "C" POSTS, ROOF AND FRONT CHASSIS MEMBER. IT MAY REQUIRE SOME WELDING BUT, DUE TO THE SUSPENSION, WE CANNOT GET UNERNEATH IT!!!

"Some" welding my hole. What the seller means to say is:

Someone who has served his time welding in a Glasgow shipyard might not be daunted by the amount of welding which needs to be done. Anybody who thinks a night class in welding will turn this into a runner is certifiable.

Oof! GR8 4 RECREATING JEAN-PAUL BELMONDO CAR CHASES!!!

That 504 is on my watch list. It's tax exempt, fairly local, a good old bus... but when I mentioned it to my better half she wasn't keen even though she's French! We'll see.....

That Sherpley is amazing. If you go to all the bother of making an aluminium body, pulling the Sherpa body off the chassis, fitting a decent engine and loads more, why not make it look nice?!

Using my TOP PHOTOSHOP SKILLZ I've made this pic the same width but 80% of the height.

Now for the interesting part........the car has a AV sticker on the engine which I believe stands for Advanced Vehicle which is Fords research and development department

This guy reckon he's got a rare proto with a development engine in it. Looks completely ordinary to me, including the engine. What do you think?

Notice the the GMC motornome that used to parked out the front of the Haynes museum spotters

AV could mean Averly, but more likely its a HCS. Dunton normally squash everything devlopment because there is no tax paid on them.

I think it's a boggo HCS too. Only really rare as it's still attached to an Escort Cosmopolitan. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, if it had an Orbital lump (as they did have protos with these around that type)...or it was a Montego factory hack with a K-series (which they used to do all the "road miles" development testing), then we'd be talking!

I had a Mk 3 Fiesta with this sticker on the rocker cover - it was a bag of shite and in no way more advanced than the Mk2 Fiesta that preceded it. I always thought it stood for Auto Valencia where it had been nailed together (unlike the Mk 2 that got nailed together in Germany and was actually bloody good)

Extremely professional wide arch body kit, blended into the body work,

As expected with a heavily modified car, the body work has been prone to stress cracks along various parts of the body work
