From trawling the 'net I think '88 was the switch to 4-speed - coincided with the series 2 re-style perhaps? Probably best check to be sure though. That lovely red V6 would be my choice at the moment - shame I'm off on hols, but the Wuv is onto that one anyway. :wink:Get both - the Monaco interior would look good in the red V6!

Spray-jockey special Ital van, with a B-series donk and 'orange-badge-ready' transmission! Difficult to imagine a more shitey combo.

Second time round for this one, looks good value at 99 notes. Check the shitefest in the background!

Another auto gearbox, what a car. £300 start price, no bids wonder what the reserve is? They might as well set it at £500bn.

"IF THIS CAR IS NOT SOLD BY THE END OF THE AUCTION THE SCRAPMAN WILL BE CALLED", its had £135 worth of bids so far but the reserve is not met!! Obv the scrapman has made a generous bid of his own.

HEY WUVZ! Did you strike up any dialogue with the Gamma fellow?

Aye. Emailed him earlier today to say taht if he can hold off the pikeys-with-the-hiab-truck for a couple more weeks I'd do what I could to find the Gamma a good home. It rather depends on me selling the Marea though as what little spare change I have at the moment is already allocated to the 121/Revue and the Yamaha electronic piano that I've just managed to win myself, plus the 25 and the Y10 that I am currently winning. I've stuck the Transit and the Rayton on the Bay too, so hopefully that'll clear a space to put the Gamma.

I'd go halfers with you on buying it if that'll help, dunno how those deals really work out but i'd certainly pay £100 to prevent it getting baled, I just simply do not have the space for it myself at the mo.

Might end up taking you up on that - I'll wait and see if I hear back from matey first. If the worst came to the worst I probably would drag it home behind the Carlton - the A140 is such a slow road anyway that only being able to do 40mph isn't going to be a major drawback. Only thing is I've got to shift the Rayton out the way first. Be interesting to see how long I could get away with parking it on the street on its Italian plates before someone moaned...

I'm sure that Minor Caravanette thing was a recent spot somewhere....What is it with describing things like that as 'the only one' or 'one in a million' etc etc etc...It's crap that's why it can be the only one...And £6,995 for it  I'm gonna do the obvious. £6.95 surely.

The Gamma must be saved! that interior is superb. Even my missus likes it.

I'm going to give the seller a buzz this evening if he hasn't responded to my message before then. There's no way I'm going to stand by and watch that car get scrapped if there's anything I can do about it.

Looks like the same one that was on Retro Rides a bit back.
Indeed - but it looks like a direct communications link with the seller is now possible...

They must have sold a lot of the autobox ones, seems nearly every one for sale is!

I don't think there was a lot of choice at the time if you were after a small automatic hatchback, so Honda had the market pretty much to themselves. (n.b. that's what the kid next door's Dad told me when they were available new and he was thinking about getting one. I was a child and he knew f.a. about cars. Having said that, I can't think of many other small autos from the late 70s...)

SWMBO is not amused by this car (no pleasing some folk), so up for grabs.

BUMP!

We're almost into the final furlong, I'm so bastid depressed I could cry.

100 watchers and no fugga is bidding. Only interest I'm getting is from folk who want to pay about £20 above it's weigh-in value.

ARSE BISCUITS.

I reckon it will see you right Pog. Deffo worth £500 easy. Seems much better value than the D-plate 760 Turbot I have my eye on at the moment for £250 with 2.5 months T&T; might have a last-min punt but don't want to end up with 2! Mind you Torsten has just (potentially) punted a free Rover 820 my way - will keep you all posted.

Knackers to that. It's a 1.8, and therefore crammed full of parts to convert your Viva / Cavalier / Chevette / Escort / Milk Float into an XE-engined tool. Gearbox & sump pick-up will make hundreds all day long. Stripping and weighing in the rest will net some quids too. I got £275 for a rotten one belonging to my half-witted friend last year. And that was a 'snip'
