r.welfare
Wuvvum, it's missing something from the console in front of the gear lever, any ideas?Should have a hinged sort-of plastic box thing for putting tapes or sunglasses in, I think. MrRegieRitmo
Does he know where it's going - to Ireland by any chance?Surprise! I was invited to take my 30 to a Citroen meet in Farnham this weekend (I'll post pics later) and there were 3 R30s and a 20 there. The more I see of other 20s/30s, the more I... 1) Appreciate the basic solididy of my old crate 2) Realise just how good that ebay car is 3) Regret passing up the chance of an (unMOT'd) one in Bristol a couple of years before I got mine (probably scrapped now). How many R30s do you want/need? Well glad that nice one is staying on these shores afterall......I think that's the gist of what Baz was saying......wasn't it? At the rate all interesting old cars are heading to the Emerald Isle, we'll have to permanently holiday there just to see anything interesting cos there'll be squat left to spot over here! Just hope it doesn't get to the level of cars being 'hiabed' from people's drives & exported over there like what was happening to Datsuns to Africa & Ladas to Russia! pogweasel
your car is beautiful and I'd have it if it were cheap but it won't be, funny though that my missus won't even get in mine...Seems pretty cheap at the moment. Why, though?Seems these "Torstenlanda" ones go for loads, and all the have over this is a stripe on the side and some slightly poo alloy wheels. MEH. MrRegieRitmo
I think that's the gist of what Baz was saying......wasn't it? Am I not writing in English then? Yes, it's fine. It was just reading that it had gone to Ireland, then it hasn't.....! Even though the Irish didn't want to sell it. So I went from disappointment to relief in the space of 2 seconds & I couldn't cope, therefore it's my problem not yours. I wonder what they wanted it for....to create a showroom full of old skool Renaults? I wonder which other ones they've got if they are! I can't believe how people are fighting over these cars! In the free ads just a few years ago I would see Renault 20s or it's contemporaries & stablemates for never more than £400! I remember seeing a blue A reg R20 for £320, an X reg dark red TX for something similar.......

mouseflakes
Early 'big-block' R11 Seeling for spares it seems, but no description of faults - perhaps just MOT-less? Looks clean and sound - low miles - nice interior.

I've not got any room/money. It's a 3 door too which is quite a sight to see nowadays. Not as fast as the later GTti (though still fast) but so much cooler-looking.Can get some scans going if you like.....
Volksy
I wouldn't bother with a RHD conversion, to be honest once you've driven a left hooker for a while it just seems normal, plus be a shame to spoil the originality of such a motor.

Thankyou, I might just do that. I'm not going to go too much over £100 I don't think as it needs a fair bit of TLC, although I might get carried away and bid daft money for it. If I do win it I'll leave it as it is cosmetically but fit a great big fark orf dump valve and big-bore silencer - should confuzzle a few Corsa boys... The exposed gear linkages in my 323 do give it a bit of a hardcore rally look, but the big gaping hole under the middle of the dash looks a bit silly... Looks in pretty good nick for one of them too. And it's the ultra-shite saloon version. Would cost me another £100 to go and get it (slightly less if I can get away with driving it), but I'm still tempted. I'm going to try and get rid of a few of the fleet over the next few days/weeks, and depending on how much space I clear I might well have a punt on that. wuvvum
Is the Marea part of the potential cull?Yup. Going in the paper next week for £150 no offers (to avoid calls from knobheads whose opening line is "what's the least you'd take for it mate?"). I've kept it thus far because the air conditioning's nice and cold and I was still living in hope that we'd get a summer, but that ain't gonna happen now. Why, do you fancy it?
