I went for a job selling ice cream from a van when I was a student. Didn't get it, probably cos I looked too clean.I re-do Harry Hill's quip when the ice cream van comes - "he only rings his bell when he's out of ice cream", but the step-boy seems to have caught on now.

Why use one word when 50 will do?

As it is no longer a complete car I am listing it under 'Classic Car Spares' but I do still believe that it is sound enough that an attempt to put it back on the road using spares from another Arrow range vehicle would be quite justified, though I shall not be the one with the time to do it so that's the main reason that it's looking for a new home.

That's wonderful! I imagine Marty will have spilled his yoghurt all over his keyboard at the sight of that.

Yup - there is much confabulation over on BXClub about buying that one, uber basic, uber rare and one of the earliest ones in the UK - rusty doors not an issue as Mk 2 doors WILL fit. I have emailed the seller to ask for photos of the rear door shuts (uber pain in the arse to weld up).

AWOOGAH! That Samba's well tidy.Brings back memories of my nan's Sunbeam 930LS (Imp-engined, YO!) and Peugeot 205 Junior for "old biddy motor" lurve. Always did wonder why she didn't trade in the 'Beam for a Samba in between, maybe she was too busy opposite-locking down to the Bridge Club.

The BX is fab, haven't seen an A-reg one for years. That would be a lovely thing to squirrel away.I'd be tempted by the Samba if I didn't already have fleet overload as it's on my doorstep with a nice local reg. I must have seen it running about round here but it doesn't immediately spring to mind :?

There is not one but THREE Talbot Samba's on eBay at the moment!! I went on the classic car section the other day for the first time for a short while and my jaw nearly dropped when I saw the Talbot section had 7 entries, and then my jaw did drop when I saw the Tagora for sale. What with that BX too, there is something of a Gallic shite fest going on at the moment.
