brammy777
LOL at that Mini story:The owner was introduced to the band, had a conversation with John Lennon who led him to the autoshopIn reality, this happened:'Scuse me, I couldnt help but notice that this is the Beetle Club? Yeh Ive been looking for a small car to buy, and I really wanted to try out the car youre advertising, seems a cool choice at the moment'Sadly they were out of stock it seems, pretty nice Mini though. barrett
as Pog says, brakes are a doddle, even the clutch is a piece of pish on these....get it and give us your phone number, I'm sure many of us would talk you through it Cheers fella! Awfully kind of you. I fully intend to utilise the collective autoshite knowledge when I finally get driving. Still got to replace my lost provvy license first, i'm such a lazy twunt, I should've been on this by now
CIH
Drums can be tricky because they take a certain nack and it's easy to forget and get out of pratice. Once you get use to 'em they're a piece of pish and are more reliable than a rear disc/caliper set-up.

Guest
1982 Ford Cortina 2.0 GL Estate Has a locked diff. I'd like to unlock it. 1981 Ford Cortina 1.6 L Don't worry, the Sercks are safely inside! 1990 Austin Rover Maestro Clubman Diesel £520 reserve not met at time of writing, not doing too badly for a Maestro! 1970 Ford Corsair Described as a "rat rod". Pillock
I thought that Mk2 Astra was a "Capita" special edition.... you'd buy that and then have the urge to take over a call centre and balls it up, laying off most of the experienced staff to be replaced by agency workers before running it so far into the ground the original owners take you to court to get control back.[ /personal gripe ]

FredTransit
1986 Volvo 240 GL This looks somewhat down-at-heel for a 240.I am curious to see what this ends at, as it's already over £100, yet only has a month's test, need a fair bit for the test (a set of tyres for a start) is a lower spec model and is generally tatty. If it goes over £200 mine would easily be worth that, and it's what I paid for it, with a full test so it's great zero depreciation motoring!
