wuvvum
OK so not on Ebay as far as I'm aware, but can't be too many of these clogging up Brit roadsI had one of those. Mine was a lot older than that though - about 1976 - and it had a 998cc A-series engine. That one must be one of the very last, and it would have had a Daihatsu Charade engine. Don't think I've ever seen one with a single wiper before though...

Guest
Nah, not really. They appear every month or so and I'm suspect of the way the rear arches aren't clearly shown - they rot with alarming ease.
Ratdat
I've got one of the diseasel Charades sat here and it's unbelievably rotten. I'm talking 70's Alfa Romeo style rot.

pandamonium
based on the Persona and waayyy overpriced IMO.My advice would be to buy a TATA
Milford Cubicle
Sound advice. TATAs are fuggin' awful! Those Jumbucks are tough and reliable, and highly rated by farming types - that one does seem to be priced a bit steeply though.
pandamonium
I didn't mean TATA's were good, just cheap! My dad had one as a milk truck, was always in the garage until some TWOCers stole it and torched it. Best thing to happen to it according to my dad. They probably drove it for 5mins then gave up!!! Ratdat
Curiously, I actually quite like the look of those Jumbucks, although it's got to be one of the most embarrasingly awful names ever given to a vehicle. That one seems pricey going on what sort of money Protons usually fetch but I bet people spend a lot more than that on 23k mile 3 years old cars. Fools. Guest
In 10 years time, me and Mr B will end up in a bidding war for one of those Jumbucks. DO WANT.
pogweasel
Aye. Jumbuck > TataThere was a glut of Tata Loadbeta's around here about 8 years ago, as the local tractor dealer was selling them. All pretty much gone now as they rotted horribly and getting parts for them was nigh on impossible.
Milford Cubicle
Bit more affordable, but no two-tone goodness.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PROTON-JUMBUCK-GL ... 0196861307
pogweasel
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1998-DAIHATSU-CUO ... 0178000042 Bit pricey for "shite", but gloriously obscure. pogweasel
Looks canny. Lovely rattley valve gear, OM NOM NOM. My mate's mum had an Alpine when we were about 9. It was considered "well gip-nack" and widely derided by our class-mates. QUAL.
