Yoss
Top stuff there. Speyer was already on my list of places to go and god I'd bloody love a Tatra. I'd have missed the Merc place and gone to the Škoda museum instead but that's just me. Still looks like a bloody good trip. More than a little jealous. garycox
we'll end the VW museum tour with a Skoda bicycle. Post-Wolfsburg we travelled via Hannover again (to drop someone at the airport who had to be back a day earlier) to Eindhoven for our final night, which included the best burger I've had in a long time. Another late evening was had, but we'd be home tomorrow. catsinthewelder, robinmasters, mercrocker and 1 other

garycox
Day 10: As we'd stayed in Eindhoven on our final night, it's probably fairly obvious what our last stop would be We had breakfast here mercrocker, catsinthewelder, RobT and 1 other
RoadworkUK
That Speyer museum looks astonishing. That's some chutzpah, mounting a 747 like that! Prague's Metro system is full of gorgeous anodised surfaces, with lashings of wood-print on the escalators, as if they were modelled on the interior of a late Plaxton supreme. garycox

robinmasters
Amazing. Appreciate all the work in posting it all too. However, much as I enjoyed all the pictures (the Tatra museum in particular), and the travelogue, I've reached the end of the thread mainly wanting a Fiat Multipla. garycox and RobT

wuvvum
What a superb thread. As others have said, the Speyer museum looks epic - almost worth a trip on its own. WTF is this thing though? Almost looks like a modern reimagining of the Lancia Stratos.
garycox
I think that's exactly what it is, but I'm not sure whether it's an official Lancia product or not. It was UK registered on a 17-plate, but I didn't catch the reg to check.

fiatdaft
Awesome trip, the modern stratos is based on a Ferrari 430,mega rare spot ! Also Sinsheim's sister museum at Speyer is also mega! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Junkman
I believe this is what is left of a Dyna-Veritas prototype, but I'll happily stand corrected if it isn't. I think it's a 1936 Adler Trumph 1700 AV saloon. It's a follow up model on Adler's front wheel drive monocoque Trumph, which predates Citroen's Traction Avant. garycox
seth
That looked like a properly good roadtrip and I doubt it would have been much better even if the original show destination hadn't moved date!
