A quick update, in light of the recent terrible news about Dave21478 we are holding off on a 'Forum Funding' donations page this month.

 

Tayne is making sensitive enquiries with Dave's family about whether a collection in his memory is something they would support, and what cause any monies raised should be put towards.

Thanks for the patience folks, we will forego a forum funding Fundrazr this month and instead will be raising money for a wreath from the forum and donation to a charity of Dave's family's choice with funds left over as appropriate.

Dave wasn't much older than me and I lost my brother young. Don't wish to intrude as a new comer but this has given me pause for thought. The way fellow forum members have handled this dreadful news is a credit to all involved

I've got several issues of JALOPY that I'm thinking of auctioning off on the main page with all proceeds donated to the Dave Numbers fund. Hardly worth a roffle but an auction with the hammer falling at a fixed time may work better.

I still can't pay from my bank via paypal to fundrazr. It pretends my account isn't confirmed when I try but it works on ebay etc. I've added a bit by card as that works but I thought I'd ask if it's a fundrazr fault or not?

I had exactly the same issue.

 

Even better, I'm no longer able to use paypal to buy things from ebay (now hangs when logging in. Sure it'll sort itself out.

As time is of the essence a funeral wreath has been ordered just now for delivery to France on Monday.

I couldn't find the words to put anything in the other thread, but I'm dead pleased with what we've done here. Perhaps any surplus could go towards making sure all Daves cars/gear find a good home - I'm happy to chip in again for that if it helps.
