I'm still a little doubtful this will complete as it's not 2 Bob a time.

Let's see if we can get a couple more away in the next hour.

Or just 3x tickets = £36, add on collection costs of say £20.

eBay starting price £56, you can't lose.

The Man Maths work even better when you remember that the winning ticket will be generously refunded, thus making the cost of a three-ticket investment a mere £24!

I wish!

Spend more than that in the River Mill Pub.

Right that's it

I'll have a THIRD ticket please

PM me with details of palpaying etc

Can't wait, etc

I won't win it, as my excellent luck is up this week on deals like this

So the wife will not even know of this massive gamble of yellow doom

All the best to everyone!

Thanks!

6 remaining. It'd be exciting to get a last minute draw on this tonight. I'd be happy enough to run the draw without all monies collected, but then all funds would need to be received before the keys are released to the new owner.

This way, any late payers get me and the winner screaming at them.

Any more for any more?

Would people pay an extra pound per ticket to get it moving?

If a non allocated ticket comes out then roll over to Wednesday?

AS mentioned in my 'memoirs', I think it's time for someone else to take on the little 306 cab. I've had some real fun over the last few months, but it now needs someone with time and patience (or disposable income) to take it on. My OCD prevents me from owning anything that's in any way slightly broken, and it's irritating to own something so handsome yet...err... broken.

GOOD

  • The previous owner literally threw money at it. New hood ECU, Full service and belts done by a specialist 120 miles from his house (he wanted a good job)
  • I have continued to throw cash at it (two new handbrake cables and one rear caliper last month along with new screen)
  • 12 months MOT
  • Wheels were refurbished in January and look fucking glorious. Shod in fantastic Toyo Proxes.
  • Desirable 'Sundance Yellow' (I'm now having doubts about selling it - it's amazing)
  • 2.0 engine is 135 bhp and brisk. Also will do 45mpg on a run.
  • Strut brace YO.
  • Interior is lovely - no leather so no burnt bottoms on a hot day. All original I.C.E.
BAD

  • The steering is a bit heavy. It's not got any worse in the 4,000 miles I've had it. Probably the pump getting tired. It doesn't bother me,
  • The clutch is heavy. This is a known idiosyncrasy of RHD cars. I think the cable runs too close to the exhaust and dries up. Able bodied drivers will be fine - others should consider different cars (probably an automatic or a Honda Jazz)
  • Paint is better in some places than others. It's the best one I could find at the time though
  • Fuel guage hasn't worked since it had a new in tank pump last year. (Previous owner flashing the cash again) 350 miles to a tank easily achievable.
UGLY

  • Just the one. The roof. Obviously. Last night it decided to make a few strange noises, and it seems that it has lost about 70% of its hydraulic oil. I would say one of the hoses has popped near to the motor in the boot, but that's just from watching it for 15 minutes last night. I think it's been slowly leaking for some time now, because it has become increasingly erratic for some weeks. You have three options really.
  • Fix it. Either yoursen or with help from one of the many companies who do this kind of thing day in, day out.
  • Ignore it. Disconnect two pins from the hydraulic rams and operate the roof manually. (It is possible to do this without disconnecting, but it's infinitely easier if you're not working against the system.
  • Remove it. Take the whole fucking thing out and have a beach buggy. My neighbour has a little MG with no roof, and it never bothers him. You could even buy a hard top for winter/outdoor storage.
£12 A TICKET. THE WINNING TICKET WILL BE REFUNDED, SO YOU'LL DRIVE OFF IN STYLE FOR FREE.

As you wish. Your roffle, your way, but I'd stick to standard protocol and collect all monies first. Any no-payer by a deadline gets resold (or whatever reallocation method is used)

What if one non-paying bawbag holds the collection up? Having to kick folk in the baws after the result is known is a pain in the hole. (Besides we don't have Autoshite roffle non-payers central reference agency to clearly identify roffle delinquents - even our most vocal ex-member seemed to have a memory problem with outing his roffle shirker)

Come on, come on. Last THREE available for your chance to be "Cutting It" around town during the forthcoming* Indian summer.

Quite right Eddie, grab the cash first.

I'm off line now, 2 days in Liverpool and we tend not to use internet on weekends away.

Will pay Tuesday afternoon, if not sooner.

I should be clearer. Sorry.

The offer I made was to try and make the draw happen last night.

Standard procedure now engaged. Gonna send out details now

Ta!
