And a couple from Chichester, my current home. “The snobbiest shithole in Britain, but at least it’s not Bognor Regis” according to Ilivehere.com

I’m finding old pics of Chi very hard to find. With Goodwood being very close it should be a golden opportunity but I have more luck spotting!

Here's some from my town, Southam in Warwickshire. The town centre 'car park' bit has now been remodeled and contains about 9 spaces instead of the previous 18 or so. Utterly ruined it.

Anyway credit to Fred Frith for the black and white, other two unknown unfortunately but courtesy of Southam Heritage Collection.

Shite-wise I'm not even going to guess at what's in the B&W pic, I'm not into old pipe-smoking side-valve shite. I like the Marina pickup and Minis in the middle pics though, from a time when BL ownership was basically compulsory.

What's wrong with Bognor? We're looking at a house in Pagham.

Gotta be careful what you search for. 1st hit for "Hutton Essex 1977" (where I grew up/year I was born) is a Daily Fail story about a man cutting off his own testicles...

Thankfully Flickr came to the rescue with some images of nearby Shenfield where I occasionally caught a train from this station, here before, and during being refurbished in 1974

Shenfield & Hutton station (11), 1974Shenfield & Hutton station (2), 1974

And in '75

Shenfield & Hutton station (4), 1975

Moving to the other end of the high Street, and onwards by nearly two decades, I remember this Q8 station opening and a couple of young ladies handing out free sweeties. I wonder how much the Micra and Metro cost to fill up with 4* at 44.9p a litre? My friend's dad worked in the adjacent garage, at one time an NSU dealer IIRC - apparently there are engine blocks buried in the walls from when alterations were made...

Q8 - 19 Hutton Rd, Shenfield, Brentwood, Essex 1991

Same site, different angle in 2010

Glanthams Site, Soon to be flats?

Now? More bloody flats.

London Country RF(?) class on probably one of its last runs - I only ever remember Leyland Nasties on single decker routes. Behind the bus is an R8, an unidentified van and I think a Chrysler 180

EDIT: could be a Fleetline - M&D used both for a while

The Hill, Northfleet. My guess is mid-late 1950s given the advert on the hoarding and a Mk1 Consul.

Top picture, sure the van is a Sherpa introduced 1974, so fits.

From a local Facebook group:

"Me and the Bethesda (north Wales) GP in 1993 - 1.8 diesel - ended up being nicknamed the “golf ball” because of the dozens of dents it aquired in the course of its duties - note the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue badge in the centre of the screen. Despite our best attempts we never managed to break it."

Top pic is an AEC Merlin with MCW body.

RML2329 is indeed passing an Atlantean, black four spoke steering wheel. Coach on,right appears to have a Duple Commander IV or possibly a Viceroy body. Far, far more interesting is the Strachan, bodied Leyland Panther single deck in the distance.
