Still would.  Not for 30 billion pounds though. And not for every day.

Detailed as 'Lime' on VIN plates.

Rare colour, I remember it on Escort 1300 Sports around K or L reg.

Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire ripper, had a 2000GT V4 'special' Mk1 Capri in this bright colour. Limited edition pre-facelift 71 -72 model with slatted rear window thing from the factory, also available Vista orange or Black (with 1600GT crossflow) at various times.  Not very discreet or anonymous. Stuff on the internet if you're interested, details of his Corsairs and Rovers and loads of cars. Turns out his Capri lasted for several years afterwards owned by someone else and was last registered as being black.

Maybe one day hi viz green, yellow, or orange could be the only compulsory options.  For safety.

Late 1973, for 74. Across the whole UK Ford range this was your choice of colours. I like them all except Sahara.

Car colours were so much more interesting once. Even well into the 1990's.

Then all of a sudden for some reason they got dull as hell !

Have seen a few (very few) mid 73 - mid 76 Granadas in purple velvet, but never a Ghia or a Ghia coupe.

No idea who the bloke in the framed pic is or why his pic is there. Maybe some sort of back-story?

Anyway, you could have your Ghiakoop in purple.  Didn't know that before.
