DodgyBastard
Here's what you've all been waiting for, a rusty, crusty and shitty brown coloured Datsun Sunny 120y... DSC_0713 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0723 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0733 by srblythe, on Flickr Datsun 120y by srblythe, on Flickr Datsun 120y by srblythe, on Flickr Bad pointsRust on the front wings, doors, rear arches and valance.Play in the steering resulting in the car wandering slightly/getting blown about in the windRear seat is scabby - It's usually covered with an old giffer tartan blanketStarter motor sometimes misses but it has never failed to startIt's had a poor respray in the past featuring flat paint and runsOld tyres - starting to crack so need replaced Good PointsNone... DSC_0747 by srblythe, on Flickr Datsun 120y by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0774 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0763 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0753 by srblythe, on Flickr The car drives and stops reasonably well, the brake calipers were recently stripped and greased and had new pads fitted and it's had recent ball joints. The rust is cosmetic more than anything, it's had a fair bit of welding to the inner sills and some inside the engine bay, it's solid for a near on 40 year old Japanese car but it won't be winning any shows anytime soon.It has a 1200cc engine and a 4 speed gearbox. It's had a new clutch, the biting point is quite sudden - it's either on or off, it takes a bit of getting used to.Mileage is around 90k I thinkMot is up in September, V5 here and there's no service history from what I remember. DSC_0610 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0614 by srblythe, on Flickr I'm after £999 for it and located in Fife, Scotland.PX welcome. privatewire, danthecapriman, Uncle Jimmy and 7 others
Guest Breadvan72
If roffled, I would have a ticket or three. Otherwise, GLWTS.
richbraith
We had loads of those, and the previous shape, when I was a kid due to my dad working for a Datsun dealer as service manager. I hated every last one of the miserable little bastards. Slow, noisy, uncomfortable rot boxes which just refused to die. I especially loathed a red estate version of this vintage which iirc wasn't ours but belonged to work and he always seemed to come home in. How this has translated to me looking at this and thinking "would" 30+ years later I'm not sure. Nostalgia is a funny old thing. mercrocker and AMC Rebel
Des
If roffled, I would have a ticket or three. Then talk your chums in the Armstrong Siddeley purchase syndicate into buying the remaining tickets and you've scratched that itch with immeasurable style. vulgalour
Quite appealing. Sadly I cannot raise the funds required for purchase though I would go a raffle ticket in the unlikely event you didn't sell it at this price.

lisbon_road
This just looks so good to me. Datsun set new standards with five speed boxes and other stuff that this, er, doesn't seem to have. But somehow it appeals. No, I am not going to buy it, but please take this as a BUMP. DodgyBastard
