Tickman
Mechanic says that when they fix the exhaust leak it will probably fail on emissions as it is smoky. That is the only unknown. The rest are relatively straight forward but the emissions could be an expensive road to travel. I got lucky with the last Clio I bought with an emissions failure as I had a spares car with a Cat on it that was required.

I got lucky with the last Clio I bought with an emissions failure as I had a spares car with a Cat on it that was required. It doesn't use much oil so I think it is unburnt fuel, probably due to a build up of carbon, which the mechanic at the garage also thought was the case. I tried to remove the egr valve to clean it but it was located so far inside the engine bay that I had to admit defeat as I couldn't get the bolts undone. stripped fred
I can't remember who I sold this to on here. I was just wondering whether it is likely to see the road again. I miss this old bus.
