rainagain
I would say distilled water and whatever the uk engine uses would be fine.

Dave_Q
Mines not an STI or owt but I've just got cheap Comma OAT (pink) coolant in.
MrDuke
The Forester forum's worth checking for techy info like that - plenty of import stuff there too. Sounds like the dealer's trying it on tbh. Lacquer Peel
unclecalzone
Sounds like they mean a coolant that isn't using organic acid technology (OAT) to me. You shouldn't go on just colour of coolant but sod it as 99% of pink coolant out there is oat so I'd avoid that stuff.Best of looking for non oat coolants which are more commonly yellow, green or even blue in colour. I believe Prestone is non oat, Renault type d isn't oat either but anyway it'll be on the bottle what it is I've seen that bluecol do a clear anti freeze now that mixes with anything, maybe to help cover up the the colour changing action of mixing coolants Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Asimo
Have a look in the handbook - always gives a spec for the coolant - cross referance to what it says on the tin. Pete-M

Pete-M
I ran my Impreza Turbos on standard Comma blue stuff. That's what Subaru told me to use.

DodgeRover
I would just drop what's in there, fill with water and some flushing stuff, run it for 20 mins then drop and refill with whatever. The last red antifreeze I had said it would mix ok with all other types so it did! No nuns/ kittens have died. Just a thought they don't mean it's got the non water based coolant in it do they, if so save it for reuse - it's dearer than printer ink!
