Matt
I've got a 245 photo strong album of Scrapyard photos on Flickr. Here, have a link. Here's a selection: Anyone know when Mini's went from drums to disks on the front? Complete Scimitar next to one of those funny Aixam micro cars. Montego estate on the other side. Been in this yard for a few years. Early model 240, when they called them 244, 245 etc. Posh 1300, even had a tin of correct paint in the boot. This was a Spitfire. 740 with a bodykit and spoiler! I posted this photo on the Volvo owners forum like a year after taking it and a couple of guys were down the next day to get the body kit. Was Yellow a factory colour on the Omega? I'll stop there, tonnes more in my Flickr album. Mr Laurence, Skizzer, Banger Kenny and 6 others
Eddie Honda
Anyone know when Mini's went from drums to disks on the front? Well excluding the smartarse Cooper 7.5" back in the sixties answer. I think it was 1984, when they went to 12" rims and 8.4" discs. Mr A Lawrence
Mr A Lawrence
I had an 84 B reg with drums all round. It was a fine line between trying to drive flat out but anticipating braking in time. Fun times.

CortinaDave
This XM and Alan Partridge Rover Sterling are for sale to go back on the road at 500 notes each at UpullIt in Inverkeithing. The XM is a bit tatty but not bad, although i looked up the MOT history and it seems its sat since 2010. the Rover is really tidy with only 47k from new and from its history looks like itd be easy to get back on the road. I suspect its been an old boy who's popped his clogs recently both are not far from squishville though as theyve been sat with no takers for over a month now. v8 scania and Mr Laurence
DodgeRover
Can't say I'm surprised they havent sold at 500 notes each, can't see they're going to make them any money in parts either.
CortinaDave
I thought that too but I posted it on Shite Cars for Sale on facebook and was told thats cheap for an XM! The Rover does look well worth a rescue, but given I work in radio I can't own it as I'd actually become Alan Partridge. Apparently they're quite pliable on price, i think FOAD has bought out of there before.

DSC_8510 by srblythe, on Flickr I bought this Panda from them in 2015, I can't remember exactly what I paid but it was definitely cheaper than the advertised price. It seems that they only really sell cars that have a chance of going back on the road. I don't remember seeing anything that was utterly fucked but I usually head over to SCB Newbridge for parts instead of U pull it.
bramz7
Harry Bucklands Nr Cheltenham had some wonderful tat in stock earlier this week, including: 1994 Rover 214 SLi. by Sam Osbon, on Flickr 1994 Mitsubishi Galant GLSi. by Sam Osbon, on Flickr 1988 Ford Fiesta 1.1 Popular. by Sam Osbon, on Flickr 1993 Citroen BX TXD Turbo. by Sam Osbon, on Flickr The above BX was the entire reason for the visit. Has anyone been to PVR (Padworth Vehicle Recycling) anytime recently? Last time I went, in 2011, they still let you walk about and check stuff out without too much bother. Is it still like that? phil_lihp

cros
This is the worst thing I've ever spotted in a scrapyard. I can see this wonderful place from my house and it has ruined my day to think the view will be soon be spoilt. mercrocker
cros
A final tour. This is the 'foreign' area, not much here for me. Used to be full of rear engined Skodas and Ladas, now there's a couple of A classes. Now I'm on familiar territory, the blue oval section. I've had 3 transit engines out of here, a type 9 'box off of an upside down CVH engined sierra, and lots moreThe Frontera must just resting prior to being 'dealt' with- we'll do the Vauxhall dept. later. mercrocker

Pleased to see the Rover has been rescued as it is sporting a fresh MOT! The XM is still untaxed but also is still on the database which it wouldnt be if upullit had squished it so looks like it might have escaped the yard too. Nice! Split_Pin
That's a Ford Maverick. Always thought they looked like the last model Escort at the Front.
cros
This is my favourite bit of the scrapyard, the British Sector. The Jaguar still looks dignified even with its innards spilling out, and what could be more British than two Cityrovers? Quite a lot I suppose. alf892
AnthonyG
A second generation Maverick, a rare beast indeed. It's a rebadged Mazda Tribune. I think Ford UK sold them for about a year before they gave up. Love the fact the British section also has a couple of Daewoos!
DodgeRover
Those Mavericks as lovely to drive and tow with when fitted with the 3l V6 and column shift auto, only hampered by an official low GTW.28mpg+ easily achieved on a run and no less than 18 doing stop start. lisbon_road
Interesting thread. We all know Ford KAs go rusty, but the rust in Bangerfan's picture is amazing - unless it is some trick of the light.
chaseracer
Is Harry Buckland's open to general punters? If so, I feel an ASMM day-out coming on. We should do a return match at Albert Looms in Derby, too.
lisbon_road
Harry Bucklands is an open yard, and the staff are decent and helpful too. Can't praise them enough - sensible prices, especially if you buy a decent amount. chaseracer

I'd be well up for just going there for the day. Guest bangerfan101
Isn't it a minister? Seen a few with the long back doors raced over the years. Most of them were saloons tho. A few years ago one was on eBay for mega money. Absolutely rotten as fuck. But it use to belong to the Queen Mother
