You can get one in most news agents. These days though it is actually possible to also get online http://metro.co.uk, however it really depends on your preference, as I am aware having a physical copy is sometimes better.

Edit: It would appear it's not available in news agents and unsure if distributed in your area. Some travel may be required.

Hednesford WS12. Never been welded, tidy interior does, need some minor attention to the rear archs and two areas underneath. It is however a Cat C, rear end damage, which pushed the rear apron panel in and creased the floor. Tailgate wouldn't shut when I bought it, remedied by my tame body man and his jig.

Owned since March 2010 at 33000 miles, now about 48000 miles. Its had Gates cam belt and kit,o.e. spec water pump, discs and pads, new starter motor, full service. 55 mpg local, 65-70 motorway.

I have the original handbook, most service history, two keys, immobiliser  removed after a FTP shortly after I bought it.

Apart from that, totally reliable to date. If interested I can take some more pics next time I'm at my unit.

I used to think that, but now somehow a k-series/diesel one seems an appealing tool for bombing round the lanes where I live. The narrowness of these seems like a useful quality.

This is indeed the case. They are also small enough to spin round twice within the width of the A470, thereby avoiding landing upside down in the River Wye, which can be a very handy feature.

Edit: that was an A-series 1.3, mind. Diesel Metros are going against nature.

Ill take the punch in the balls if thats still an alternative.

If its a K series then Im right behind you in getting my balls kicked. But I'd have another A series one.

Dont get me wrong, they drive like a Go-kart and the K series is a good punchy little engine.

I just fooking hated my K series ones for all the rust issues, which lets face it by that age of car should really have been sorted out by Rover.

When BAe owned Rover and also owned the firm for which I worked, one of the perks was a 'Management Vehicle Ownership Scheme'  - a silly name for a lease deal featuring the Rover product range.  The mileage limit was 8,000 miles, not per annum, it just meant that you swapped your car for another one when the miles were up.  For me, it meant three new cars per year.  Initially I had a turbo diesel 200 (impressive in a slightly agricultural way), then a couple of 100 Kensingtons, followed by a succession of Mini Coopers and a City.  My wife and son liked the 100s (metro) but I disliked the broad sill and uncomfortable driving position.  We also had a couple of Metro vans at work.  Bloody horrible things.  I much preferred the Minis.  Thinking about it, they were probably responsible for shaking my kidney stones loose.  I agree that narrow cars are a hoot to drive in narrow streets and lanes.  The tailgating bloated modern stuff can often be left behind in a shrapnel of wing mirrors when they realise a bit late that blindly following is an expensive mistake.
