pogweasel
Fugging scenester dubbaz. I'd love to own this, now the bloke wants like two grand for it. Crazy. http://rhrco.forumotion.com/for-sale-an ... le-t86.htm

retrogeezer
Isn't that Audi just lovely - really would love to own that.Pog, was it you that had the 74ish 100 that someone bumped into on the way home from collecting it?
pogweasel
Not I!I believe it was one of "the management". I did buy an eighties eighty ( ) but sold it immediately (like within half an hour immediately).
Mr H Sceptre
Yes, indeed it was Mr Leyland who purchased said Audi 100. On the way back from picking it up from Cornwall to taking it up to Leicester for the RetroRides show, I smashed into the back of it. Bent bumper. Gives it more character. The Audi is currently off the road, though I believe Mr Leyland is hoping to get her fixed up in the next few weeks. Lovely car. Mr_Bo11ox
Ha ha that Audi has suffered a heavy scene taxage hasnt it. Was it not on eBay a while ago? I bet if you put it on there it would make £4-500 at most. What a lovely car though. I see that someone has come up with a great as to what to do with it - leave the rust holes and old paint, fit some fuchs alloys, and lower the suspension to the max. OMG what a radical suggestion, how on earth did you think of it!!!The engine is a 1700c Audi unit which is petrol fueled but has a higher compression ratio than most petrol engines which is halfway between a normal petrol and a diesel engine.Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! pogweasel
Quite. Reckon you could fix them holes, Bo11o?I agree that £400-£500 would be top whack. Sure it's probably unique, but this don't make it £2k. If anything it counts against it. Imagine..."Hello, Hadrian?""Yes?""Have you some front wings for an Audi Estate? They only imported 6 here.""Bwahahaha. Go away and stop wasting our time, don't you know we are busy knocking up ill-fitting glass wings for escorts?!!!!!!"etc.
Mr_Bo11ox
I probably could do something with those wings, but the curvature looks quite tricky for someone who is equipped only with a vice and some hammers, so i would not be sure how well it would turn out! I bet some wings for that would turn up on eBay germany if you waited long enough though, it would just be like a Morris 1800 or something to the bratwurst munchers wouldnt it, theyre bound to have some bits lying about.Did V8Mike have a punt on this when it was on the bay? I bet he'll know what it went for if so.
bigstraight6
WOW, ultra rare tin! shame about those front wings, the rest of the bodywork looks ok though, column gear change to
garethj
Those early Audis had a Mercedes derived engine, I remember they were fairly high compression but not unusual for the day when 5 star was an available petrol, not just a forgotten 80s poptastic group.Wonder what money it'll go for? Guest
The VAG (oo-er) scene absolutely baffles me, mad money for a load of smoky old vans and the like.Someone should probably tell him that rare doesn't always equal expensive, because it's a cool car and it will just rot into the ground if no one buys it. And no one will buy it for 2 grand, surely. Unless the seller puts a Hoodride stencil on it or something.
marinast
I'm sure there's plenty of those back in the Fatherland.
