Dick Longbridge
Have we had the Rowe Hillmaster yet? Cornish designed and built and the old workshop still stands to this day. Datsuncog
A couple of my (very old) pics posted recently on the Puddlethumper Circus thread, and then I thought mebbe some on here would like a gander too... Taken in August 1988, I think. The American 3-Ring Circus, touring Ireland that summer. I'd only recently watched Convoy for the first time, so this got me very excited indeed - it wasn't a Mack R-series, but an F-series was tolerably close... worldofceri, Low Horatio gearbox, rml2345 and 4 others

That's fantastic. Kudos to the company for retaining the old girl for 60+ years. I've just googled the plate and found your old post about it: Their heritage collection looks immaculate too! martc
Ridley Road Market sometime in the 70s. Ridley Road Market has been an East London institution since the late 1880s, encapsulating the area’s rich history of immigration and cultural diversity – sometimes being at the forefront of it, as it was in 1947 and 1949 when it was the site of clashes between Oswald Mosley-led fascists and the Jewish anti-fascist 43 Group. Yes I’ve seen and photographed these, the tractor unit is the sole survivor of the few that were built and originally was registered 1 JAF new to Dingle & Sons of Stoke Climsland, mated to a low loader trailer to move their road rollers and other plant. CreepingJesus
<sees Peckham reference> <sees Trigger reference> <checks for Robin Reliant*> Cushty. Now had it been Denzil's old Daf 2800, I'd have been all over it. Although in fairness it would make a tidy classic truck with a more sympathetic livery.
