CreepingJesus
Yep, nail on the head. The stories about Daf's relationship with Tesco are legion, but they all end in 'yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir.' Not a happy marriage, but as long as one keeps mobile and the other makes a profit, it persists. I've never mixed up AdBlue and diesel, but I have 'accidentally' mixed up white and cherry once or twice. Oops, what a shame... sutty2006

catsinthewelder
Our local agricultural merchant often keeps shite for years (they had a 305 van in use till about 10 years ago). I've not seen this before this week though. CreepingJesus, dollywobbler, phil_lihp and 8 others

How the fuck do you do that? Mixing up pez and dizzle is one thing, adblue looks nothing like either and smells different too.

Some drivers take the word “ad” too seriously. i heard a story of 1 driver at a hgv fuel station putting both nozzles in the diesel tank and pulling both triggers at the same time. Over impressed with himself that he’s saving time at the pump……….. I bet he didn’t get very far. CreepingJesus

Crackers
Spent all day yesterday with these nice old motors. Great to see some older wagons still out daily earning their keep. ERF isn't upside down, just the forum software having a fit. The ECX's sister went into retirement just a couple of days ago, apparently. jon.k
Vic Haines is just down the road from me, I love having a look at his yard when I go past. He also has some classic trucks that I've seen out and about occasionally. ... I just looked them up, there are some good photos of his fleet on Flickr. busmansholiday
Right, some pics from the YORK Trailers archive. I remember reading about this Commercial Motor when it was new. Caused quite a stir when YORK bought a Steyr for their own use. More Guy Big J4 pics. Sunblest Atkinson proudly displaying its Gardner 180 (hp) badge. Cummings engined ERF, and that could be a RR badge on this one. quicksilver
I have a new furthest-travelled spot. worldofceri
That’s impressive, and reminds me I saw a trailer with the international code KZ (Kazakhstan) a week or so ago. Sadly, it was being hauled by an eastern European unit (I think Lithuanian but couldn’t see the plate properly). I’ve seen two or three Moroccan outfits in the last couple of weeks as well. I wonder if the container shortage has made longer overland journeys relatively more viable of late? LightBulbFun

puddlethumper
My mechanic, a bit of a loon, bought this rather lovely machine, without seeing it, from the South East got it transported to the West Mids. He was going to use it for getting engines and stuff until somebody came to the garage that afternoon and offered him 2500 squids more than he paid for it. Owned it for 20 hours. Immediately went and bought an ex military radio truck with trailer. Haven't seen it yet. Dyslexic Viking, warch, tooSavvy and 8 others

sutty2006
This has been parked down the road from work for a week or two now. Not entirely sure what it is, I think it’s a Bedford. But not 100%. sutty2006
You’re right. The bit at the back looked like another bank of cylinders. I feel I need to leave a note in the iveco “this would be sooo cool with a v12 in it!”
