Saw 'PON 135 S' on a horsebox the other week. It's kept me amused since.

This on my way home from work - the Fiesta belongs to a workmate.

May have to use CTRL+- to view the left hand part of the picture. Traffic was just setting off by the time the camera was ready.

Took another at the next junction, zoomed in but the reflections in the windscreen all but obliterated it, then we were off again.

I'm sure the flashes has him worried.

This morning on the way to work, "M8EEE" on (I think) a black Corsa, in fairly thick fog, only car with no lights on - none at all!

Why is it that when it is actually foggy, hardly anyone uses their foglights but any other time they all do :(

tooSavvy's post above reminded me of a plate I've seen recently.

RU 54VVY

The car it's on is driven by the owners of a hairdressers called Savvy. It's parked on single yellow lines outside the place virtually every day from 9 to 5.

So an illegal plate and continual illegal parking.

The vehicle it's on? The ultimate Chelsea tractor that is a BMW X6. It just had to be, didn't it?

For those of you who don't know, a large chunk of europe's oil industry is located in Aberdeen.

As Aberdeen also has one one of the highest rates of private number plates, seeing a car with OIL (ex-Norn Irn, I think) on the numberplate is nothing unusual.

Coming home this evening I saw a BMW in my mirror with the plate "HOT OIL".

Wondering how he'd managed to space a number into that I slowed down when I changed lanes so BMW-man passed me to reveal the real numberplate...

J10 TOH. Very clever.

Not normally a fan of numbers made to look like letters, but I did like PR 07 ECH on a white van, not difficult to work out which company owned that :) On the other hand J 19 FUN on an A4 convertible was perhaps a triumph of wishful thinking

I saw a Volvo convertible today with the number JAK IIE. I was tempted to stop and ask her if she did in fact spell her name that way.....
