mercrocker
As hinted in the Solent Shiters thread I did manage to attend the annual Bank Holiday car show on the green at Stokes Bay today. Weather just got better through the day, I managed to spend about 47p which always makes me happy and met up with some good mates. Anyways, here are your pics as they speak louder than words..... First up was this cheerful little Volvo Laplander Humber and Umber Orstin Capri and Moggy (packing Midget punch) This Falcon was pretty much my favourite thing all day.... Buick of many coats One of Luxton's finest One of Luton's finest More to follow.... anonymous user, Vantman, Skizzer and 4 others
mercrocker
One for all you PSA-lickers. I had forgotten how neat small cars used to be. Or even how small neat cars used to be. Ersatz Benz, too small to be an Excalibur, more a kind of pocket knife.... Parisienne - I wouldn't be on any walk way if I had this.... Sunproofed Zephyr Zodiac, this is a delightful car that we see quite a lot Mopars, Post War to Cold War My mate smokes this Cutlass daily, it works hard for a living, too... Lowered (yawn) but nice to see one anyway Two strokes, three pots, four rings (sounded bloody lovely!) Custom pack Mehico One for Billy Cavcraft This won best modern - But this was quite nice, too.... Tailpiece Er, that's it. Stanky
Nice work Mercrocker - today there was a car show in Stubbington too which had a reasonable turnout too which may have diluted attendees too - though I saw the Aldershot & District coach as I came home from Titchfield late this afternoon. T'was a very good example! mercrocker

mercrocker
Very good. I wish I'd gone to this.I spy a big Lincoln Continental at the back in the mopar pic. Keenly spotted! Unfortunately it was airbagged to death and had monging great wheels which seemed to draw large crowds and prevented pappage! danthecapriman

Can't say I'm a fan of air bags either. What's the story with your mates Olds then? It looks a great piece of kit for a daily!
mercrocker
He is a serial Yank licker (he thinks he used to own the Parisienne as well but couldnt remember the plate!). Used to trade for himself and a bloke approached him with the Olds having been offered it from another trader - it came off the Channel Islands apparently - most of the local Yanks seemed to gravitate his way unless an enthusiast got there first! The Cutlass has replaced a Laurel also used daily. danthecapriman
