320touring
Brave man, I'm a big girl so I wouldn't drive this above 23MPH due to how much they're worth. You have no option in them, they just want to headbutt the horizon:)

nacho man
A normal 182 sure, I'll destroy the engine in half an hour. But I couldn't abuse a trophy. The engines are generally pretty tough. Mine is a high miler so not one of them mega buck investment pieces. Also I bought it to use so it’s getting some use. Got two more track days booked for the year. At the end of the day it’s only a clio. Easily fixable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 320touring, Tickman and Aston Martin

nacho man
Good effort, nixe to see it used in anger given the time and effort you put into keeping it so nice. On their day, these things are just epic fun for money! Mine mainly have off days:(Touch every tree in Sherwood Forest mine has been mega reliable over the last couple of years. But it’s only done 4/5k probably in that time so not really a indication. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 320touring
nacho man
Did a full day at Blyton today. Did a bit of prep beforehand, well I changed the oil and then the power steering fluid just because. Ran perfect all day, did a good amount of laps. Stuck to a max of 6/7 laps then came in to let it cool down. Was pretty quiet so had some good spells with no in front. There was a few good motors there. Blyton is a good little track that suits the clio well as the straights aren’t too long. The French little France kept going all day while others dropped out, mainly BMW’s and vag stuff. nacho man
Forgot to say the best bit of the day was convincing my 84 year old Grandad to come up so I could take him round. He is a petrol head to the max. Couldn’t stop going on about it afterwards. The Moog, Dick Longbridge, Aston Martin and 10 others
nacho man
Been using this a fair bit lately just for the sake of it. Just before it started getting dark early I went for a ace thrash along the back roads and it is just ace when your wringing it’s neck. But gave it a good clean and tucked it away. Bit too far? 320touring
My current joy of Clio ownership can be best summed up by the phrase "FUCKIN REAR CALIPERS" New ones are on their way Glad to see this still giving you enjoyment:) nacho man
nacho man
Got this out of winter hibernation for a trip down to goodwood. It was a hot hatch themed breakfast meet, I have never been to goodwood and have always wanted to visit. Shame it’s a 400 mile round trip like. Was far too many fiesta st’s with flashing led headlights that looked shit and every imaginable combo of 135’s and 140’s. Not enough metro action. This was mint and a cool young family rocked up in it which made it even beterererer. There was a mintola type r that was a bit ricer but also a bit special. Would if I could pull it off. There we go. Was good but not amazing. Was going to get the scimitar out from it’s storage, as it’s a hatch, and if there is any traffic it’s hot alright. But in the end took the continental cruiser clio. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Jim Bell, Split_Pin, Dick Longbridge and 1 other

nacho man
Still spending a fortune on this. Bought a recaro pole position basically as there badass and a Schroth harness. Was a pain in the arse getting it fitted. Originally fitted it using the original recaro trendline base but It was wayyyyyy to high. So got hold of a custom base but then needed side mounts to fit it. Bought recaro ones. But they didn’t fit. Bought some omp ones, they did fit. That small process took about three months. 500tops, blakey79, dome and 3 others
nacho man
Thrashed the bollocks of this all day a few sundays back at Blyton. It was bleeding roasting 35 Degrees, the old girl took plenty of sessions in her stride and then drove home. If i started to do more than say 6/7/8 laps at a time the temp would creep up over half but only to say 3/4 on the gauge. Brakes held up well with pretty much no fade at all, there was a few clios there as per every trackday, had a good few battles. Two suffered with power steering faults as the fluid was boiling over and coming out the reservoir, mine was okay but I did replace all the fluid a year or so ago so maybe that helped as it was fresh. Was running some Nankang Ar1's and they were mega compared to the Ad08r's. blakey79, cort16, Jim Bell and 8 others
Jim Bell
Looks grand man. Bet it's a fun steer. I bet you'll be wanting to run the Clio as a daily and you'll have no use for your Astra van any more. That's probably what I image would be logical........ nacho man
Had the first ever problemo with this French fancy, went out for a blast last week and computer said no.Did some google searches and could either be, plugs, leads, coil pack or injectors. Went all out and decided to just change everything as bits for these ain’t terribly expensive. It’s one job on these that’s pretty easy, so an hour all in and was running sweet again. Crackers
I keep telling myself I don't want one of these, but I really really do. Can't justify running 2 cars (Clio 182 as a Motorway blaster? No ta) and insuring one at 18 would likely be a royal pain in the arse wallet. Hopefully at some point in the next few years I'll be able to justify getting one for a while before they all disappear off the face of the earth and decent ones become 18 million pounds. Split_Pin
But 35mph easily achievable even when you are driving it like a dick! Apart from the tax and the belts, these cars are cheap to run.
nacho man
Got this serviced again this yeah as mainly a lazy bastard. Hadn’t even done 1500 miles in it this year, must use it more!!!!Still been buying and spending some bucks. X4 brand new cup shocks, for when the Sachs needs rebuilding will try these all round, was about £160 ish direct from Renault parts direct. Then last track day I did at Blyton towards the end of a absolutely red hot day the temps creeped up a touch, as most temp gauges are unreliable anyway wanted a oil and water temp gauge but most look shit in my option so bought this to hide somewhere. It’s detachable as well quickly so will try and integrate it neatly.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk dome and Split_Pin
bigfella2
I think I'd be more worried about the temperature of the pas fluid on these, especially during a track day.
nacho man
I have changed the fluid a few times in the past which has helped, You can run a longer return line across the front which helps with cooling. bigfella2

SiC
I'm still on the look out for a Trophy. A few bargains around Xmas. Include one with 80k for under £5k. Don't come on that often but I'm now waiting patiently till a few toys may come up for sale because of the Three Ds. Don't really want to spend more than £5k for one. Also one that isn't a hundred previous owners. The real nice ones are around £7k, but that's a bit too much for tightfisted me to spend on a Clio II. nacho man
Yeah prices are coming down for sure. Get one they seem to sell on pretty easy if you don’t get on with it.Seeing as I have some time on my hands decided to fit that scanguage mentioned above.Before.DuringFits nicely behind the original dash trim.In and working, you can customise what it shows and also the backlight colours so can sort of blend in. Also can now clear codes on the go, which is handy seeing as it’s French. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk dome
