London to Swanage steam train

I know there was a thread on here a while back about steam trains and there was a fair bit of interest in it. For southern based steam fans there's a chance to see a train running from London to Swanage (Dorset) for the first time in many a year.

I nearly went on it! Its diesel out of Victoria, but its the first Steam hauled service into Victoria since the very early 70's

I used to travel to and from Boarding School on that route but stayed on the mainline as far as Dorchester South. In those days it was an electric service as far as Bournemouth. From there the first four carriages were pulled by a BR Class 33 'Crompton onto Weymouth due to the lack of electric rails.
