Roverageous
Late last night I decided that the thing to do today would be to visit Gaydon Motor Museum. I got there and it was some sort of Rover / BL tat show even type thing going on. Mr Hi-Viz warden wouldn't let me park my car in the main car park and insisted it should be parked in the arena with all the exhibitors. So that was jolly nice, or it would be if the front end wasn't covered in bird turds - and generally filthy. Ho hum, I parked up, abandoned it and pretended it wasn't mine. Actually had a really good time and probably enjoyed looking at the 'show' more than the museum. If I'd paid £14.00 to just spend time in the museum I might think it wasn't particularly good value for money - not to mention there was no evidence of the first ever production Rover 75 which was probably more than half the reason I decided to visit. None of the staff seemed to know where it was - but it wasn't there. Here are some visual highlights of the day: All pumped up: Diesel Countryman: Special: Purple R80OVR: Hull registration: FIT: Honest: Twins: Scale: Hydrolastic cheese: This smelt just like my Dad's old one: Ohhhhh yes: Gatecrashing the 800 party: Cute: Lellow: The red one was unfathomably shiny: Aggressive: MAJOR Rangie LUST for this: Birdsplats: Nom: My Dad had one this colour, allegedly: Shite, not shit: HEY, ANYONE RECOGNISE THIS? That's all folks. holbeck, MarvinsMom, Skizzer and 12 others
Brodders
I can't think of anything else to say apart from that looks like it was quite a line up at the show. Did you get to see any of the BL or ARGroup concepts? Some of them really do look nice from what I have seen on here, and pointed to a bright future that, unfortunately, never quite materialised. HMC
I recognised the moto bild suspended ex-partridge fastback. I was hoping to get across to see the revamped exhibitions during shitefest but didnt manage it. Hopefully they've got more of their BL/arg curiosities on display, I'd love to get up close and personal with the 2 door saloon metro and the " pizza delivery " MGF / metro development mule. Roverageous
The main museum was good and nicely done, but must admit the collection in the other building was a bit... I don't know how to put it. Lots of unloved cars there 😕 Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk
